Amon-Ra St. Brown Under 69.5 Receiving Yards

Amon-Ra St. Brown is an elite receiver and we’ve seen that now for a couple of seasons. He makes tough catches, glides in space and is a genuine third down marvel for Detroit.

So why the pessimism on what’s surely a lowish line? Well, it’s the design of the offence. St. Brown can be taken out of a game by two separate things. The first is a very good press cornerback. Jaylon Johnson is exactly that. He tracked Justin Jefferson last week and limited him to two catches for 27 yards.

Secondly, when there’s a team that play a lot of man coverage, the design that Ben Johnson opts for just typically excludes St. Brown in big moments.

Detroit (-10.5)

I always tend to avoid big spreads for the primary reason that teams give up garbage time scores and go conservative with their playcalling, allowing the opponent in.

Well, Detroit are the one team in the league who will laugh at you until you’re motionless, and keep piling on to forge an identity.

At any point, they could have taken the foot off the gas against Dallas, Tennessee or Jacksonville. They combined for 151 points in those games.

9.30pm: New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports NFL

Under 37.5 Points

Just the sheer lack of enthusiasm for doing anything, really? The Giants know there’s going to be an overhaul. They also know that their opponent are facing an overhaul. There’s always one thing that keeps this game interesting, and it’s animosity. There’s none of that now, just shared apathy.

And, when you factor in that we might be getting Cooper Rush versus Drew Lock? Well, let’s just say those turkeys would want to taste good.

Malik Nabers Under 65.5 Receiving Yards

Mailk Nabers came out after their loss last week and blamed Brian Daboll for not getting him the ball. Nabers was always going to be a great player, but the reason he was the second receiver taken and not the first was primarily down to attitude.

Some coaches use this as a springboard to encourage, but Daboll is angry and stubborn. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nabers land two catches for about ten yards as a statement from his head coach.

Friday 1.20am: Miami Dolphins @ Green Bay Packers

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports NFL

De’Von Achane to Score Anytime

Well, he is basically their entire offence since Tua came back, despite the chagrin of Tyreek Hill. Waddle might have gotten more looks last week, but only because New England adjusted midway through. Achane is the go-to back when they’re within 20 yards of the goal line because of his elusiveness.

The big issue for this team has always been when they’re forced to operate in limited space. Achane is a cheat code there.

Tua Tagovailoa Over 240.5 Passing Yards

He’s enjoying himself again, and that’s nice in a sense. Even though they were well up against the Patriots, Miami still only chose to run the ball nineteen times, compared to forty pass attempts. Think there’s concern about Tua’s wellbeing? Think again.
