Our top grid iron tipster Andrew Cunneen‘s released his penchant for the pigskin again to hopefully see us into the end zone ahead of another belting NFL weekend.

Baltimore to Win

The Ravens should be the Super Bowl favourites at this moment in time. This is both the most efficient offense in the NFL and the most explosive.

When you break down the splits by the Expected Points Added metric, they’re essentially adding value to their offensive plays at a higher rate than any other team, and manage to be in the top three in fairly much every scenario.

Rushing play under center? Yep. Rushing play out of shotgun? Yep. Their passing equivalents? Yep. For the longest time, people had questions over Lamar Jackson’s throwing ability.

Sometimes, they were even warranted. He wouldn’t throw corner routes or deep outs. Everything was a slant, a screen, a flat or a seam. And for as much as that sounds like a nursery rhyme, it was reflective of the truth.

Now, they’ve evolved and it’s pretty hard to stop them. Particularly if you’re the Bengals, who are being held together by Joe Burrow and a weird resurgence from Chase Brown.

Derrick Henry over 90.5 rushing yards

The Bengals have two options: play heavy defensive personnel to contend with Derrick Henry’s body mass. Or play light defensive personnel to contend with Lamar Jackson’s speed.

In the end, it will be a mix of both, and based on whatever’s in front of them, they’ll play it how they should. It’s a sick situation to be in, but it’s what they’ve been doing now for the entire year. The only thing that can stack up is a team who are excellent at playing the run with four-man fronts.

And the Bengals? Well, they’re just about the worst in the league in that regard. Henry’s playing with an elite quarterback for the first time in his life, and it’s somehow made him even more of a playmaker. Who knew?

Lamar Jackson over 50.5 rushing yards

Baltimore might not need to throw the ball at any stage of this game. They’ll run RPOs; hand off to Henry, run a keeper with Lamar – and maybe, just maybe – swing the ball out to Zay Flowers in the flat if they don’t like the look of things in front of them. Lamar is playing at MVP level and I suspect that will increase here.

Joe Burrow over 268.5 passing yards

My deduction is that Baltimore are going to be up by two scores early in this game, and therefore Cincinnati will have to throw the ball like maniacs if they’re to even appear competitive. Fresh off a five-touchdown game, I’m not sure the coaching staff are going to take the ball out of Joe Burrow’s hands anyway.

Andrei Iosivas over 21.5 receiving yards

Well, they’ll account for Ja’Marr Chase on the back-end with double coverage. Mike Gesicki had his coming out game last week, so they’ll be sure to scheme him to short gains.

Which means, in Tee Higgins’ absence, the targets go to the ever-reliable Andrei Iosivas. An incredibly low line, too.
