Denver Broncos to win

Well, it’s not quite Payton Manning versus Drew Brees, is it?

I say that in jest, but when NFL Execs sat down at the start of the season, they probably thought that Sean Payton would come in here and turn Denver into a powerhouse once we saw a bit more from the quarterback they took in the first round.

And the Saints? Chris Olave, Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara? Yeah, that should suffice.

Well, Bo Nix is like someone playing Madden, and not in a positive sense. Derek Carr is out for this game. Chris Olave is concussed and will miss out, while Alvin Kamara, who’s been great, has to run behind a line that will be without Cesar Ruiz, and a banged-up Lucas Patrick.

Even their biggest offensive spark this year, Rashid Shaheed, is out.

I’m sorry, but I cannot take a team who just gave up 51 points and who are starting Spencer Rattler, which sounds more like a children’s toy than an NFL quarterback.

7/10
Denver Broncos Match Betting

Over 36.5 points

For all that I’ve just mentioned these two quarterbacks do not inspire confidence, Bo Nix at least showed me that he can create off-script. He’s the first signal-caller I’ve ever seen who, in the same snap, stepped up in the pocket, bailed out, spun away from pressure, spun back into pressure, ran towards the opposite sideline and then completed a fifteen-yard pass.

You just can’t gameplan for someone who, while looking terrible in structure, can extend drives through off-the-wall plays.

The Broncos getting to 20 points doesn’t seem too far-fetched, particularly against a team who gave up the equivalent of over seven touchdowns on Sunday.

As for Rattler? He got into some sort of rhythm last week, albeit against a team that didn’t need to attack him given their lead. But at least he’s not throwing against Patrick Surtain, who is also out with a concussion.

9/10
Over Total Match Points

Troy Franklin – Over 19.5 receiving yards

I can’t remember a lower total for a player in such a good spot, so therefore I’ll be adding them.

He played in 65% of their offensive snaps last week, and he played in college with Bo Nix at Oregon. There’s an obvious connection there, and he snagged his first career touchdown last week, too.

They must feel confident about utilising him as the season rolls on. And eighteen yards is entirely manageable. I’d probably take almost double that.

5/6
Troy Franklin Over Troy Franklin – Receiving Yds

Alvin Kamara – Over 33.5 receiving yards

Denver brings a ton of pressure. Last week, they blitzed Justin Herbert on 60% of his dropbacks, which is an NFL precedent over the last twelve months.

Rattler will be taught who his most reliable target is very quickly, and Alvin Kamara only needs to break one of these to nail the yardage against a heavy blitz.

5/6
Alvin Kamara Over Alvin Kamara – Receiving Yds

Bo Nix – Over 25.5 rushing yards

If you can’t play in rhythm, then become the rhythm. The best thing the Broncos did last week in defeat was have Nix extend plays quite well with his legs. He had 61 rushing yards last week, and that was against the league’s best defence by points-per-game metrics.

5/6
Bo Nix Over Bo Nix – Rushing Yds
