Buffalo Bills -2.5

Well, here it is. My favourite line of the year. I could not believe my eyes when it wasn’t double this.

You might say that the Buffalo Bills have lost back-to-back games, but I’ll inform you that they’re playing two teams who could well contest the AFC title game. This offense is becoming predictable due to the lack of top-end talent outside of the quarterback.

This might sound counter-intuitive to my selection, but bear with me.

The Bills are on the road, I get it, but they’re on the road, in the same state, on a long week, while the New York Jets are returning from London.

This is a gift from the footballing Gods; we don’t get them very often.

10/11
Buffalo Bills Handicap (-2.5)

Under 40.5 points

It’s dangerous because, on paper, this is Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers. But it’s also two offences that cannot gel correctly. Everything looks laboured, and Buffalo require superhero stuff from their quarterback, who definitely shouldn’t have been allowed back in the game last week.

Anyway, Sauce Gardner can smother Keon Coleman or Khalil Shakhir; James Cook is hurt; they’ve made it very clear they’re not interested in passing the ball to Dalton Kincaid, and Josh Allen is, in all likelihood, not 100% despite the lack of a concussion diagnosis.

And on the other side, to merit such a lowly prediction points-wise? Well, I’ll go into that in more detail shortly, but the Jets are a total mess on that side of the ball.

10/11
Under Total Match Points (40.5)

Breece Hall – Over 53.5 rushing yards

This game will be close, therefore running the ball will never be off the table. There’s also a sense that the Jets aren’t using their best offensive weapon correctly, and a new offensive coordinator coming in will try to amend that immediately.

The Jets are theoretically set up to be a better run-blocking team, so they should take advantage of that, particularly since Aaron Rodgers does not look like himself.

When a coordinator change happens mid-season, everything changes slightly, and things return to basics. This is the perfect line to capitalise on that.

5/6
Breece Hall Over Breece Hall – Rushing Yds (53.5)

Breece Hall – Over 25.5 receiving yards

Aaron Rodgers is clearly making the case that he wants and needs Davante Adams. Therefore, he’s not going to throw to receivers down the field often here and try to paint the picture that they can’t separate.

If you think that’s too petty, I assure you it isn’t. He’s the chap who goes on his friend’s broadcast and complains about the world instead of going to credible reporters to control the narrative.

This will be dump-off after dump-off, and we can count the yards as they come in on every third down before they’re sent off the field again.

The only threat we have here is Braelon Allen, but his emergence felt like a forced desire from Nate Hackett to have two running backs. You don’t need two when one is this good.

5/6
Breece Hall Over Breece Hall – Receiving Yds (25.5)

Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets Bet Builder

Buffalo -2.5
Under 40.5 points
Breece Hall – Over 53.5 rushing yards
Breece Hall – Over 25.5 receiving yards
