The final game of Week Three of NFL season sees the Washington Commanders travelling to the Cincinnati Bengals.

American Football tipster Andrew Cuneen has found four value picks for a Bet Builder, so let’s get into his Washington Commanders @ Cincinnati Bengals betting tips.

Commanders @ Bengals Bet Builder tips

Cincinnati -7.5
Ja’Marr Chase – Over 80.5 receiving yards
Ja’Marr Chase anytime touchdown scorer
Brian Robinson Jr. – Over 53.5 Rushing Yards

WHEN: Tuesday, September 24th, 01:15
WHERE: Paycor Stadium, Ohio
TV: Sky Sports Mix, Channel 5

Cincinnati -7.5

Cincinnati’s biggest problem is that they cannot run the ball. This really matters against most teams, particularly if you want to try to control time of possession.

New England ground them into oblivion and sat back, knowing full well that Burrow would have to beat them with his arm.

All of those should be concerning for their long-term aspirations. But it should not produce panic in week three, though – as they face-off against the hapless Washington Commanders.

They gave up almost 400 yards of offense to Tampa Bay, including a 280-yard performance from Baker Mayfield, and gave us their best trick yet in making Daniel Jones look functional.

I often side with underdogs on the road, but there’s just no way they can keep pace with the Bengals, particularly as they welcome some weapons back.

9/10
Cincinnati Bengals Handicap

Ja’Marr Chase – Over 80.5 receiving yards

I’ll start this off by saying he’s a very angry man. Secondly, I’ll add that he’s a top-three receiver in the NFL when he’s zoned in.

Although he did not get the contract he wanted in the pre-season, he took out a big insurance policy, so he’s all good now, apparently.Chase was always going to start slow, given the nature of his off-season and the fact that Tee Higgins has been out.

But here are the stat lines Washington have coughed up to number one receivers so far this season:

Malik Nabers, 10 for 127 yards and a touchdown. Chris Godwin, 8 for 83 and a touchdown.

Oh, and Higgins is back, by the way.

5/6
Ja’Marr Chase Over Ja’Marr Chase – Receiving Yds

Ja’Marr Chase anytime touchdown scorer

Given the previous blurb, I probably don’t need to re-emphasise, but Washington rarely even supports cornerbacks on the back end.

You would think that Chase will see the benefit when he has space to run into, but equally, this occurs in the end zone when they’ll leave Chase one-on-one, and he’s one of the best fade route runners in the entire league.

We know the Bengals won’t run the ball in the end zone once they have actual receivers playing, and Burrow’s injury history should at least suggest he shouldn’t run in enclosed spaces.

Chase will be the go-to target.

11/10
Ja’Marr Chase Any Time Touchdown Scorer

Brian Robinson Jr. – Over 53.5 Rushing Yards

He’s finally getting the league-wide recognition he deserves. Robinson has been a top-end runner for some time now, but the league has chosen to ignore that for whatever reason and just class him as a third-down back.

He doesn’t get the touchdown nod because I don’t think they’ll be scoring many, and Jayden Daniels is the primary focus when they get inside the ten.

But his general yardage total feels low, even with Austin Ekeler occasionally coming in for carries.

Robinson didn’t have a rush for over 29 yards in his NFL career up until this season – he’s had two already in 2024.

The explosiveness is alive and well, and he can be the bright spark in Washington’s darkest offensive schemes.
