9:05pm: Los Angeles Rams @ Arizona Cardinals
TV: Sky Sports NFL
Over 47.5 Total Points
Coming into Sunday night’s game we have two teams who are strong on offense but weak on defense, which should help us reach a high total of 47.5. The Rams put up 20 points last week against the Lions with Matthew Stafford throwing for over 300 yards. Even without the injured Puka Nacua they have the coaching staff and QB to be able to put points on the Cardinals.
We saw the Cardinals defense give up 34 points against the Bills last Sunday as they got torn apart. To the Cardinals credit they managed 28 points themselves with the offense far outperforming their defense. With Kyler Murray having a good game with both his arm and legs shows what they could do against a Rams’ defense that now lacks the retired Aaron Donald.
Cooper Kupp Over 7.5 Receptions
Cooper Kupp has consistently been a favorite target for Matthew Stafford but with Puka Nacua going down last Sunday he had an astounding 21 targets, hauling in 14 of them. With Nacua now on IR it means another big game for Kupp.
The Cardinals know what’s coming in terms of Kupp’s volume of targets but they didn’t show enough defensively against the Bills to indicate that they’d be able to stop it. Usually a line of 7.5 receptions would be considered high but considering the 21 targets last Sunday it feels like one which should cash easily.
Kyler Murray Over 33.5 Rushing Yards
We have a third leg from the Rams at Cardinals game and we’re backing Kyler Murray to make good use of his less and accrue over 33.5 rushing yards. He only had five carries against the Bills but he made good use of them averaging 11.4 yards per carry.
After leading his team in rushing yards last week we’re going to take him to cover 33.5 here. Murray doesn’t rely on his rushing ability every play but the fact it’s used more sparingly makes it even more effective.
9:25pm: Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs
Isiah Pacheco Anytime Touchdown
The Bengals at Chiefs game has been one we’ve looked forward to in recent years with big battles with Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes. However, this week we’re not betting on either quarterback, instead taking the Chiefs’ Isiah Pacheco to score a touchdown.
Pacheco found the endzone last week against a very good Ravens’ defense and should go back-to-back on Sunday against a Bengals’ D who were dreadful against a poor Patriots team. Last week we saw the Patriots win with Rhamondre Stevenson dominating the Bengals defense, rushing for over 100 yards and also scoring. With that in mind we can be confident of seeing a similar performance from Pacheco.
9:25pm: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Denver Broncos
Bo Nix Under 166.5 Passing Yards
The Steelers 18-10 win over the Falcons in Week One was one of the most surprising wins of the weekend. The offense looked awful as they failed to score a touchdown but the defense, and in particular TJ Watt, were instrumental in stopping the Falcons.
The defense held Kirk Cousins to just 155 yards and picked him off twice. Now that pass rush faces, what is on paper, an easier game against the Broncos. Bo Nix was held to just 138 yards last week against the Seahawks who have a weaker pass rush than the Steelers, and was intercepted twice. Nix averaged just 3.3 yards per attempt in that game and the rookie will need to show a big improvement to cover the spread here, in a matchup that could get ugly.
