Bijan Robinson Anytime Touchdown

Much of the talk around the Atlanta Falcons this offseason has been around the quarterback position. New Head Coach Raheem Morris signed Kirk Cousins on a $180 million contract before using their first-round pick on another quarterback, Michael Penix Jr, much to the surprise of Cousins.

The veteran will undoubtedly be the starter on Sunday night which will be a huge boost to Atlanta’s star man, running back Bijan Robinson. With Cousins at the helm the likes of Drake London and Kyle Pitts are a more legitimate threat that opposing defences will have to account for, I expect the multitalented Robinson to take advantage of the space that creates and score his first touchdown of the season.

George Pickens Anytime Touchdown

The Pittsburgh Steelers are another team who acquired two new quarterbacks this offseason, free agent Russell Wilson and then a day later traded for Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears. Wilson will be the starter, but Head Coach Mike Tomlin has teased the possibility of both QBs seeing playing time with the more dynamic Fields offering a threat as a runner and a passer.

Regardless of which QB has the ball in their hands it is good news for wide receiver George Pickens who is the undisputed top pass catcher in Pittsburgh. Both new QBs are an improvement on the merry-go-round of options who were throwing to Pickens last season and with Dionte Johnson traded to the Carolina Panthers he could be an even more popular target. Look for the third year receiver to top both his receiving yards line (55.5 yards) and find the endzone.

Houston Texans @ Indianapolis Colts

Anthony Richardson Anytime Touchdown

Last season was a strange one for Anthony Richardson and Indianapolis fans. In the four games he played, Richardson flashed his brilliance throwing three touchdowns and running for four more but that was all we saw of the former Florida quarterback as injuries cut short his season. Arguably his most eye catching performance came against Sunday’s opponents as he ran for two touchdowns in the first half before sustaining a concussion and having to leave the game.

With CJ Stroud at the helm I think the Houston Texans will win the game quite easily but if Richardson plays the full 60 minutes I’d be very surprised if he didn’t score at least one touchdown, his ability as a runner is what makes him so exciting and Colts fans will want to see plenty of that in 2024.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Miami Dolphins

Tyreek Hill Anytime Touchdown

Coming into his ninth NFL season Tyreek Hill has spent the summer offering to race Olympic 100m Champions Noah Lyles to prove he’s the fastest man on the planet. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year might not get to race Lyles but in a sprint against any members of the Jacksonville Jaguars defence he’ll be a heavy favourite.

The Miami Dolphins have one of the most explosive offences in the NFL with Jaylen Waddle, Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane all providing a threat but it is Hill, who led the league in both receiving touchdowns and yardage last season, who is the real star. The first of what could be many touchdowns awaits.
