    Josh Allen Anytime Touchdown Scorer

The Buffalo Bills come into the playoffs with probably the best momentum out of every team in the NFL. After winning their last five games, including a division-clinching victory over the Miami Dolphins last week, the Bills are the second seed in the AFC and look set for a long run into the playoffs. A huge part of their success this season has been the play of quarterback Josh Allen.

Since entering the league in 2018 few quarterbacks have been as consistently dominant as Allen, and the 27-year-old stepped up his again in 2023 setting an NFL record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, with 15. His size and speed make him a huge threat in the redzone and I’d be very surprised if he didn’t score another touchdown in Monday’s rearranged game.

    Najee Harris Anytime Touchdown Scorer

While the Bills have Josh Allen the Pittsburgh Steelers have their own big-bodied runner in great form, running back Najee Harris, who has had his best two performances of the year over the last two weeks. Harris topped 100 yards in wins over the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens (the only times this season has achieved the feat) and scored three touchdowns as the Steelers snuck into the playoffs on the final day.

The Steelers will be reliant on Harris and the running game to protect Mason Rudolph, who is arguably the weakest quarterback of the 14 in the playoffs, and to try and keep the Bills offence off the field. I’m backing Harris to score for the fourth game in a row.

George Pickens Over 40.5 Receiving Yards

While Mason Rudolph may be the weakest of the quarterbacks in the playoffs on paper, he is still a solid player who has managed to unlock aspects of the Pittsburgh offence that hadn’t been seen with Kenny Pickett or Mitch Trubisky under centre.

Rudolph’s main strength has been his ability to develop an instant connection with budding star receiver George Pickens. With Rudolph at QB Pickens is averaging 108.6 yards per game and has been a real problem for opposing defences. With the Steelers likely chasing the game I’d expect Pickens to be targeted around 8-10 times and if he catches even half of those passes he should cover the 40.5 receiving yards line he’s been set.

        (40.5)

        Over 35.5 Points

A big part of Buffalo’s winning streak to close out the season has been the ability of their offence to score regularly. The Bills have scored 20 or more points in every game since 6th November and with the Steelers missing their best defensive player, TJ Watt, through injury I would expect them to score heavily in Monday night’s rearranged game.

Allen, James Cook and Stefon Diggs have all been consistent performers this season while the tight end duo of Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox offer a useful threat in short-yardage situations. Pittsburgh won’t fancy their chances in a shootout but they are going to need to score at least 20 points to have any hope – the points line of 35.5 should be covered.

        (35.5)

        Buffalo Bills -10 Points

Pittsburgh’s main issue will be the inexperience of their quarterback. While Josh Allen is coming into his ninth playoff start, Rudolph is making his first, the Bills have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the last five years and will want to make a statement that their early season struggles are well behind them.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills defence scored a touchdown of their own in what could be something of a blowout, despite Harris, Pickens & Rudolph’s best efforts.
