Under 42.5 Points

Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bijan Robinson Anytime Touchdown

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots
Buffalo Bills -8.5 Points
Stefon Diggs Over 81.5 Receiving Yards

Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens

Under 42.5 Points

The Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions face off in the only Sunday game between two teams with a winning record in what is arguably the biggest test the home side have faced this season. Baltimore are 4-2 but you don’t have to squint too hard to find a world where they are 6-0. Mistakes, particularly fumbles, have dogged the Ravens offence all season and taken opportunities to score off the board.

The Ravens defence, however, has been outstanding – holding opponents under 20 points four times already this season and only allowing a maximum of 24 point at all this season. Just one Ravens game this year (a 27-24 win over Cincinnati) has seen more than 42 points scored and I’m expecting that trend to continue on Sunday.

Jared Goff Under 249.5 Passing Yards

A big part of Detroit’s success this year has been their ability to control the ball. It would be unfair to describe quarterback Jared Goff as just a game manager – but he has been exceptionally efficient and backed up by a talented running back group. However, every single running back on the Lions roster currently features on their injury report, although rookie Jahmyr Gibbs is expected to be fit enough to play.

The Ravens have really keyed in on stopping the passing game this season, culminating in holding the Tennessee Titans to just 104 passing yards last week. No opposing QB has topped 242 yards against Baltimore this season and with a depleted supporting group I can’t see Goff managing to be the first. Under 249.5 passing yards is well worth a look.

Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bijan Robinson Anytime Touchdown

Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud is the runaway favourite to win Rookie of the Year but Atlanta’s Bijan Robinson is certainly worth some consideration there too. The former University of Texas running back leads the Falcons in rushing yards, is fourth in receiving yards and is tied for team lead in catches and touchdowns.

The gameplan is pretty simple for Atlanta, get the ball to Robinson and see what happens.

The trade for WR Van Jefferson gives the Falcons a better vertical threat in the passing game which should create more space for their star running back, and I’ll be backing him to end the weekend with at least one more touchdown to his name.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Buffalo Bills -8.5 Points

The landscape of the AFC East has dramatically shifted over the past few years, the era of Tom Brady led New England dominance is long gone and in the last few years it has been all about Josh Allen and his Buffalo Bills teammates. This season has been a disaster for New England head coach Bill Belichick – he suffered the biggest loss of his storied coaching career in Week 4, losing by 35 points to the Dallas Cowboys, before following that up in Week 5 with a 34-0 defeat to the New Orleans Saints.

With Allen and the Bills offence coming off a very shaky 14-9 win over a woeful New York Giants team last week they will be delighted to see the Patriots on the schedule. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see another 20+ point loss for Belichick this week, the Bills will be disappointed if they don’t cover their 8.5 point handicap.

Stefon Diggs Over 81.5

Receiving Yards Even in last week’s lacklustre outing against the Giants there was one man who stood out for Buffalo. Stefon Diggs is the undisputed number one option for Josh Allen. Last week Allen completed 19 total passes for 169 yards, Diggs accounted for 10 of those completions and 100 of the passing yards.

The Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2 are the only team to hold Diggs under 100 yards this season and even then he still caught every ball thrown his way. With the likes of Tyreek Hill putting up video game level numbers each week Diggs will be keen to try and keep pace and continue to show he is one of the best receivers in the NFL, I’d expect him to top 100 yards yet again against a desperate opponent.
