Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 12:15am
Eagles to Win
Both teams have started off 2-0 so something has to give in Tampa. Baker Mayfield has seen a resurgence in his career but will he have enough to keep up with the high powered Philadelphia offense who rank fifth in scoring.
Mayfield has yet to face a decent pass rush after playing Chicago and Minnesota. Now he comes up against the likes of Hassan Reddick, Jalen Carter & Co. where he will struggle. On the back of a mini bye, I feel last year’s NFC champs will have too much for Mayfield and the Buccaneers. Take the Eagles to win.
Jalen Hurts Any Time TD
Hurts is a very strong runner of the football and his ability in the read option constantly makes him a threat to defences. However above all what appeals here is when the Eagles are on the goalline.
The “Tush Push” is a play the Eagles have perfected.
No team in the league is able to stop Hurts from a yard out. He scored three times in the Super Bowl, two of those coming from a yard out. Same story last Thursday against the Vikings, when he found the endzone thanks to the unstoppable QB sneak. If the Eagles find themselves in that position against the Bucs, expect Hurts to score.

Los Angeles Rams @ Cincinnati Bengals – 1:15am
Joe Mixon Over 58.5 Rushing Yards
The Cincinnati Bengals are in dire need of a win as they get set for a Super Bowl LVI rematch against the Los Angeles Rams. I like the Bengals to get the job done but there’s the issue of Joe Burrow’s calf injury. As of Saturday, Burrow is listed as questionable for Monday night’s showdown.
Whether or not Burrow can play there’s no doubt that running back Joe Mixon will see a big workload. His line stands at 58.5 but if it’s Jake Browning under centre rather than Burrow that should increase significantly. He’s seen a lot of touches the last two weeks and I’d expect that to continue this week. Take the over.
Joe Mixon Anytime TD Scorer
Mixon is the Bengals’ primary back and a huge option in the redzone both on the ground and in the air. He hasn’t found the endzone yet this year, but there’s no denying the talent level possessed by the former Oklahoma Sooner, considering he has a Pro Bowl appearance on his resume. He will be keen to score this week. If the Bengals are in scoring range he will get lots of opportunities to get in the endzone.
Kyren Williams Over 61.5 Rushing Yards
Kyren Williams is off to a fantastic start this season, taking full advantage of the increased opportunities with Cam Akers now traded to the Vikings. Williams is the Rams go-to man on the ground now and they face a Bengals defence who are struggling this year to stop the run.
Cincinnati allows the fifth-most yards per game (382.5) and more than half of that comes on the ground (192). The Notre Dame man will get plenty of opportunities to exploit that weak point Monday night. Take his over.
