Kansas City Chiefs @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Zay Jones Anytime Touchdown

Trevor Lawrence enjoyed himself in Week 1, finding both of his top receivers for touchdowns in a 31-21 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Debutant Calvin Ridley was the star of the show with 101 receiving yards and I would expect the Chiefs to focus on stopping the former Atlanta Falcon, this will open up opportunities for Zay Jones, who had an eye-catching touchdown grab of his own last week.

Jones and Lawrence faced off against Kansas City twice last season with the receiver making 13 catches for 151 yards – with Ridley now offering a different threat. I’m backing Jones to find the endzone in a tricky game for the hosts.

Kansas City Chiefs Moneyline

When pulling up a list of the best quarterback/receiver combinations in the NFL it would be difficult not to put Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes at the very top. A knee injury saw Kelce miss his first game since 2014 last week and the Kansas City offence struggled as a result. The Tight End returned to practice on Wednesday and would be expected to play, this will be music to the ears of Mahomes as he readies himself to face one of his favourite opponents.

The two-time MVP has never lost to Jacksonville and has never thrown fewer than 313 yards in a game, an incredible level of consistency and a talent level that should be more than enough to lead the defending Super Bowl champs to their first win of the season.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Buffalo Bills

Under 47 Points

The Buffalo Bills are one of the early season Super Bowl favourites, only Kansas City are a shorter price in the AFC but have started the season scoring just 16 points in an overtime loss to the New York Jets. In contrast the Oakland Raiders managed to sneak a win over the Denver Broncos despite scoring just 17 points.

Neither team has shown signs of their offence being in rhythm yet, so I think the points line is way too high. Only three of last week’s 16 games saw more than 47 points and I can’t see these two teams combining to top that total on Sunday.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Tennessee Titans

Los Angeles Chargers -3 points

Both teams come into this week’s game looking for their first win of the season, but it is the visitors who will be much more confident. Los Angeles scored 34 points last week, but their defence was no match for a Tyreek Hill inspired Miami Dolphins. Fortunately for fans of the Chargers, this week’s opponents are no way near as threatening.

The Titans have failed to score over 20 points in 14 of their last 18 games and should mean they’re likely to struggle against a Chargers team boasting the likes of Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler & Keenan Allen.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals

Ja’Marr Chase Anytime Touchdown

The Bengals started the season with a loss to the Cleveland Browns in a game where they really struggled to get star receiver Ja’Marr Chase involved. This week will likely be very different.

Throughout his short career Chase has absolutely owned the Ravens, racking up 39 catches, 546 yards and three touchdowns in his five games against the Ravens. I’m backing him to kick off his season with another big performance, scoring at least one touchdown.
