In what should be a very close affair, I’m expecting this game to go to the wire, although Kansas City have the advantage of being involved in their third Super Bowl in four years.
This experience and ability to control their emotions under pressure could be a key factor come kick-off. Plus add in the fact they have the league’s best QB/Coach tandem in Mahomes and Andy Reid, you can never count out the Chiefs.
In what should be a close finish, it’s worth noting three points is the most common margin of victory in Super Bown history, so to buy us the cover of a heartbreaking field goal we will take +3.5 on Sunday.
Travis Kelce Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Travis Kelce has always been Mahomes’ go-to target in big situations and there’s none bigger than this. The No.87 has been on fire these playoffs leading all players in receptions and touchdowns.
No player in the NFL has had more redzone targets than Kelce this season and I’d fully expect Mahomes to go to his man on Sunday when in need of six points.
Kadarius Toney Anytime Touchdown Scorer
The Chiefs acquired Kadarius Toney midway through the season and he has seen his involvement in the offense grow game after game. He was heavily involved against the Jaguars and only for an early injury he looked to be on for another big day against the Bengals too.
Don’t be surprised if he gets his hands on the ball in the redzone. Also being Kansas City’s punt returner, Toney will have plenty opportunities to find the endzone. The price is very good value.
Patrick Mahomes Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
All season the Chiefs have been a pass first offense and why wouldn’t you be with the best quarterback in the NFL running the game. The Texas native has had a stellar year and a lot has been down to his accuracy with the football in the redzone.
Mahomes has thrown at least two touchdowns in six of his last seven games and I’d expect him to repeat the trend.
