The marketing team at the NFL won’t tell you this, but these are really the only few weeks that matter in the entire season.

Yes, eighteen weeks are required to get to this point, but teams change their identities so often, giving up false leads to trick opposing coordinators in order to peak as the season comes to a raging climax.

No more smoke. No more mirrors. This is now endgame and it’s win or go-home. Welcome to the second-best sporting weekend of the year, only to be topped by the one in seven days’ time.

With a double header on Saturday and a triple header on a Sunday, this feels like a sofa weekend, and we’ve got your takeaway sorted with this multi-game bet builder.

Set hut!

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers

George Kittle – Over 44.5 Receiving Yards

In George Kittle’s last two games against the Seattle Seahawks, he’s totted up 274 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

And while the Niners offence has really opened it up this year, they’ve typically reverted to being slightly conservative in their postseason performances – tallying just 53 points in their three playoff games last year – an average of 17.6 points per game.

Kittle not only is an outlet for Brock Purdy’s first really crucial game, he’s also designed to get the ball in run-heavy formations as a rollout option.

This game is made for the explosive playmaker.

49ers Points: Under 26.5

When teams know they can rely on their defence, they generally play in accordance with that.

The Niners are great case study of same, with them relying on a quarterback in his first start to try and pick apart a defence heavily fortified to stop the run and thus inviting him to make big throws.

It feels highly unlikely that they’ll be producing a performance similar to their recent run. In fact, over the last six weeks, the only team to hold them to under 33 points? Seattle.

LA Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Gerald Everett

The Chargers’ redzone offence has been nothing short of inept through the air. Well, at least that was the case until recently. Last year, Joe Lombardi’s offence was heavily catered toward mismatches, but he went away from that through fifteen weeks.

In the last month, that’s been flipped and the tight ends are getting all the looks when points are required. Everett is the key beneficiary of this return to type, and his ability to separate thanks to some clever pre-snap motion and being bigger and faster than almost any safety/linebacker hybrid means Herbert has the most faith in completing a pass in his direction.

Christian Kirk – Under 56.5 Receiving Yards

In terms of improvement, the Jaguars are the best example of this happening over the course of a year. However, in this instance, they’re coming up against a team that have improved over the last few weeks.

While the Jags’ big splashes have paid serious dividends, the Bolts’ key signing, J.C. Jackson, forced an entire defensive rethink.

They’re now coherent and limit opposing teams through the air better than almost anyone. So the logic in this selection is picking the receiver with the highest yardage line.

Christian Kirk, come on down.
