So, the most storied franchise in NFL history tackle the most iconic player the league has ever seen.

Quiet one, then.

If you actually look back at it, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had such an easy slate of games in 2022, and yet they still finished below .500.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

In one sense, Tom Brady couldn’t care less about finishing below that average for the first time in his career and that’s what makes him a winner.

He took seventeen dropbacks and passed it over to Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask.

But in another sense, Tampa Bay are going into the playoffs with no momentum, no substance to their play and yet still possess a feeling of superiority because they’re in the postseason.

Then you take Dallas, who are the worst ten-plus-win team in the NFL. Dak is playing at a very poor level, he’s throwing picks he never would have in the past and there’s even a sense that he’s not fully over his injury.

This is going to be a game full of sloppiness and laden with mistakes – which could see both head coaches fired upon season’s end.

But not everyone needs to be at a loss – follow this bet builder.

Dallas Cowboys to Win

As stable and as level-headed as Tom Brady is, he’s dealing with an offensive line that’s missing its central figure in Ryan Jensen.

This is going to be a real uphill task when facing Micah Parsons and this interior push.

For all that I’d love to see Tom Brady march into another divisional round, there isn’t a single area apart from perhaps run defense in which the Bucs possess the edge here.

If you actually compare both sides sans the Brady factor, you land on a touchdown being the difference between the two.

And yet, we’re to forget a below-average team going on the road against a team with an offensive line capable of dominating what is perhaps the best defensive interior in the league. Call it off.

And yet for all that the ground game has been their bread and butter, Mike McCarthy really doesn’t run the ball between the twenties – he pushes the ball vertical.

Lamb gets lost in the list of elite receivers because the identity of the team is to run-first. Look at the perception of AJ Brown since he left Tennessee.

The Alabama product will be the go-to when Tampa Bay move into a blitz front and he’s agile enough to make them pay.

Under 45.5 Points

Brady will be under constant pressure and Dak will end up throwing airballs that lead to turnovers. This game will be long, so buckle up.

The way in which Tampa Bay will aim to counter that pressure is by Brady getting the ball out quickly or by aiming to run on second and third down.

Both of these ensure scoring is kept to a minimum, as does the sheer amount of plays – Dallas and Tampa Bay are both in the top eight in terms of plays this year, with the former leading the league in this category.

Tom Brady – Under 275.5 Passing Yards

Tom Brady this year against good defenses?

212 at Dallas on opening night; 190 at the Saints; 271 against Green Bay; 243 at the Steelers – and 253 against San Francisco.

Stat-padding at its finest from Tom Brady.
