Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Commanders

Week 18’s schedule is peppered with the unmistakable flavour of ‘questionable motivation’ for many teams, but we should be on solid ground with the Cowboys in this NFC East season closer.
That’s because Dallas can still claim the Division title if Philadelphia slip-up against New York’s Giants in the other game. The Dallas offence has been rolling in recent weeks, averaging over 36 points per game on its own in the last nine outings.
Washington has a decent defence but, beyond the pleasure of upsetting their old rival, it’s hard to see what more they have to play for.
If Dallas keeps up its scoring rate, the Commanders won’t have to do much to bring in the over on a low total.
Anytime Touchdown Scorer: CeeDee Lamb
A correlated play, if the Cowboys score as heavily this week as they have since November, Lamb will have to be one of those showing up in the touchdown column.
He has eight scores on the season, six of them coming in this defence-obliterating nine-game stretch. He’s as likely as any player to get in the endzone this week.
Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers
49ers Over 26.5 Points
We’re going to bet on another offence that’s been shredding defences down the stretch in Santa Clara.
San Francisco already posted 38 against this defence earlier in the season and they have only become more efficient since then as they’ve added Christian McCaffrey and dealt seamlessly with big injuries at quarterback and wide receiver that could’ve derailed their season.
They also have playoff seeding at stake as they duke it out with the Vikings for second spot in the NFC, and they’ve an outside shot at the first-round bye if the Eagles lose.
We wouldn’t bank on that happening but it’s enough of a driver to see them run-up a score versus their NFC West rivals who’ve just had a hugely disappointing season and are starting their fourth-choice quarterback here.
Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Brandon Aiyuk
He’s leading the team in receiving yards and receptions, and has eight touchdowns on the season so far, which is only bested by George Kittle recent purple patch lifting him to nine.
Two of those came in the 38-10 10 win over the Cardinals earlier in the season, so we know already he has the beating of this secondary.
