Jacksonville to Win

The Jags can expect below-average defensive play and still win because their quarterback looks a complete superstar.

They don’t want to be that reliant on him, but one of these teams has two paths to victory while the other does not.

The Jets are probably reliant on Zach Wilson again – a player who has openly criticised his team mates – a group who were beginning to gravitate around the toughness of Mike White.

New York have lost three close ones over the last three weeks and that’s deflating to any unit, let alone one that returns to a raucous MetLife where, if they start slowly, it becomes a very difficult environment to launch a comeback in.

Christian Kirk to Score Anytime

Each of Kirk’s seven receiving touchdowns came in the first ten weeks of the season, but he hauled in six of his ten targets last week.

Unless you’ve a bona fide #1 receiver, which Jacksonville do not, you’re going to pick your battles in the red zone to ensure teams have to defend everyone.

Kirk hasn’t gotten looks in that part of the field over the last number of weeks, so I expect that trend to be well and truly bucked on Thursday night.

Over 36.5 Points

Ten of New York’s fourteen games this season have hit this over line, and given Wilson’s totally erratic nature, I’m surprised this line isn’t much higher.

The Jags? Just twice this season. In each of their last three games in the league, one team has scored 36 points or more by themselves.

Pile in.

Travis Etienne Over 14.5 Receiving Yards

Robert Saleh blitzes at an alarming rate and Lawrence’s early-career trajectory is down to the amount of different throws he can make, but also his ability to spot a hot route when pressured.

When Etienne has caught a ball this year, he’s averaged 8.8 yards per reception. He’s not quite hit the bigger lines over the last month but this is a game tailor-made for him.
