Tennessee to Win
There are more paths to victory for Tennessee because they have to commit to stopping the run – allowing Ryan Tannehill to capitalise on their soft linebacking corps through play-action.
When you can run the ball on third down – which isn’t a luxury a lot of teams have – then you become unpredictable.
But the key to them is simply not falling well behind because you have to drop back in obvious passing situations. Ryan isn’t like that, nor are his receivers.
Losing AJ Brown was a commitment to not having a spread offense that gets the ball out of his hands early or being able to target a specific receiver again and again.
And so far? They’re doing just fine.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Christian Watson to Score Anytime
This is a percentage play because of how Aaron Rodgers’ mind works.
He made it very clear all season that he’s frustrated with the lack of reliable targets. Now? Christian Watson has emerged as the clear WR1 in this offense so Rodgers will look there time and time again, completely ignoring everything else. Glorious.
His target share will skyrocket off the back of this newfound bromance and AR12’s ability to throw back shoulder is unrivalled.
Robert Tonyan – Under 28.5 Receiving Yards
Tonyan gets targets but he’s almost always the security blanket in this offense.
Going into last week, he was the only pass catcher in the NFL with 35+ catches this year to not put up multiple 40-yard games.
If you’re ever pondering a Tonyan prop bet, always take the under. Particularly as Tennessee’s defense will gladly sit back and play coverage, meaning the last-ditch effort to get the ball out to Tonyan won’t be necessary.
Aaron Jones – Over 25.5 Receiving Yards
Jones is the WR2 on this team which is a major concern, but also a blessing at the same time. Screens are part and parcel of the modern NFL but in this sense, it’s truly hard to overstate his importance in both run and pass.
Given the Packers are likely to be in a rush to keep up with the rushing scores of the Titans, I’d expect Jones to have his fair share of catches from early on.
