Denver and Los Angeles are the two contrasting elements of the United States.

On one hand, you’ve got a metropolis filled with superstars, the rich and famous and a big sign that spells Hollywood for fear that they might forget it themselves.

On the other hand, you’ve got a mountain refuge where all they do is eat deep fried bull bits, claim to be cowboys, brand awful slogans onto not just cattle but the general public – and claim to be much better and a better reflective of Americana.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

So it seems quite funny that the humble country boy in Justin Herbert now lives in the bright lights of LA while Russell Wilson, who’s always wanted to be a hero but is far too goofy to achieve it, has purchased a ranch and lives several miles from civilisation while lining out for the Broncos.

Folks, this won’t be the marketing you’re fed for Monday Night Football, but here at Paddy Power, we bring you beyond the basic.

Oh, and ehh – we might make you a few quid too while we’re at it.

Handicap: Denver +4.5

So, this boils down to a few things but the primary one being that the Chargers’ play calling is designed to just keep them ahead.

They’re in one-score games almost every single week, and while I think they’ll ultimately end up winning this game, they’ll be doing it in a very similar fashion to how they overcame Cleveland in Week 5 – on the ground.

Denver would like to adopt similar mindset, but with Melvin Gordon banged up, Javonte Williams out for the season and Mike Boone not able for a starter’s workload, they’ll likely throw more often than not.

Chargers give up those air yards at will when they’re leading.

Austin Ekeler – Over 59.5 Rushing Yards

Ekeler is one of those backs that isn’t remotely explosive, but he does always gain more yards after contact than you anticipate.

Simply put, some backs give you the chance to claim the yardage total in one fell swoop. Ekeler’s had one rush of over 20 yards this season, so this’ll be gradual.

But he does always turn four-yard gains into six-yard gains and that’s the key.

Donald Parham to Score a Touchdown

The Chargers’ offense looks slightly laboured minus Keenan Allen, but that doesn’t help them a whole lot in the red zone.

They’ve really struggled to find the right play when they’re ready to score and that’s an issue. One of the main reasons for this is due to the omission of Donald Parham.

The six-foot-nine tight end is the easiest target you’ll find in these situations.

Mike Williams – Under 68.5 Receiving Yards

They feed Mike Williams when Keenan Allen is out, but when they’re together, that generally doesn’t happen.

He’s going to be covered by Patrick Surtain too, and that generally means he’s being taken out of the game.

What I’d normally suggest is to back Keenan Allen on the overs, but his hamstring could see him leave early.
