Friday 1.16am: Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati Bengals
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports NFL

Bengals to Win

Miami are one of just two teams yet to taste defeat this year, despite facing off against Super Bowl favourites the Buffalo Bills last week. Their next step? Taking down the underwhelming AFC Champs – the Cincinnati Bengals.

Such is my conviction in the Bengals winning this game that I feel very confident to suggest this is my best Bet Builder yet. And remember, I was a Melvin Gordon fumble on the 1-yard line from landing a 33/1 shot for us in week one!

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

The important information to note here is simply that end-of-season projections are the important thing. Yes, the Dolphins are running hot but they’re going to win 11 games at most. While the Bengals can’t possibly win fewer than ten.

This is just where logic suggests, and only short-term perceptions are hindering that. A short week, travelling to Ohio from Florida, coming off a game as high-octane as the Bills victory, facing a team who’ve underperformed thus far?

I’ll take the Bengals Win on the moneyline with the franchise quarterback to beat the overachievers with injuries to their QB, best offensive weapon and their star cornerback.

Over 46.5 Points

These teams both have something that not too many other teams do – big play potential. With Jaylen Waddle or Tyreek Hill, every single snap could be a house call.

That’s just how they run their offense. And the Bengals generally have had double coverage on Ja’Marr Chase throughout, but with game-breaking cornerback Xavien Howard not appearing to be carrying a knock, I’m unsure if they can ask him to shadow the LSU alum.

Their drive lengths aren’t laborious, and I think that’s what’s catching most people’s attention – less players equals more time to put up points. Over 46.5 Points specifically.

Ja’Marr Chase Over 74.5 Yards Receiving

You cannot shut him down for long. This will be a fine display as to why. When Cincy are at their best, Chase is the primary target.

He’s Burrow’s first read and while his lack of time in the pocket has generally caused him to look underneath to the likes of slot receiver Tyler Boyd, they’re now figuring out protections.

Given they’re playing a team who bring weird fronts and serious pressure, they’ll go into max protection mode – which means fewer receiving options on each play for increased blocking. Who’ll benefit most from that? Chase. I’ll take Chase Over 74.5 Receiving Yards.

Raheem Mostert Anytime Touchdown

The most overlooked player in the NFL is Raheem Mostert. A star running back for the Niners not so long ago, Mostert is now taking the primary role from Chase Edmonds and making it his own in Miami.

He’s lining up as a single back, out wide, in the slot – you name it, he’s doing it. And the more you can do, the more looks you get in various formations – and the more likely you are to score. Mostert Anytime Touchdown rounds us off.
