There’s a huge AFC East clash on Sunday evening in Week 16 of the NFL regular season as the New Rngland Patriots welcome the Buffalo Bills to Foxboro in what could be a pivotal showdown.

The Pats ran all over their old rivals a few weeks ago in western New York, and the Bills Mafia will surely want to see that result and performance avenged as January football draws into sight.

Tom Carnduff of The Sporting Life gave us his take on the big game’s best bets…

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Boxing Day, 6pm, Sky Sports NFL

It’s a tricky one to call, but I’m going for the Patriots to bounce back from their defeat to the Colts last week and cover the (-2.5) handicap on Sunday evening. Buffalo have struggled for consistency this season, with defeats in three of their last five games. In a game such as this, with the handicap smaller than a field goal, I have to side with the Patriots.

They’ve been electric in the second half of the season and I’d back them to get over that blip last week.

Handicap: New England (-2.5)

Both of these defences are excellent against the passing game. The Bills allow the fewest passing yards per game in the NFL and the Patriots are third in the same category, so the running game of both sides will probably decide who wins this.

Damien Harris was out last week for New England and there are still some doubts about his availability for this game, so I’d look at the man alongside him in the Pats’ backfield. That why I’m going with rookie Rhamondre Stevenson for a touchdown scorer bet this week.

Anytime TD Scorer: Rhamondre Stevenson
