Sunday 9.26pm: San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks

49ers (-3.5)

I’m going to go with 49ers (-3.5) here. It’s a game with two teams going in completely the opposite direction at the minute. San Francisco are off a three-game winning streak and are in a playoff spot at the moment whereas the Seahawks are languishing on 3-8 after five losses in their last six games which means they’re pretty much out of the playoffs.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

The reverse fixture was a poor game for the Niners, they lost Jimmy Garoppolo at half time and Trey Lance came in. They’re playing a Seahawks team off a short week and their defence has been spending nearly 2/3rds of the game on the field.

Niners are carrying a few injuries and they’re possibly without Deebo Samuel. It’s a tough place to go and get a result but I’m hoping if the Niners can get going early, silence the crowd and keep that tired Seattle defence on the field, then they should have no problem covering this handicap.

Brandon Aiyuk Anytime TD Scorer

If the Niners are without their No.1 receiver Samuel then Brandon Aiyuk could be their next-best option. His production has gone up in the last two games, including a touchdown against the Jaguars, and if Deebo’s out they could get him doing some of the run plays that he normally would, giving us a good chance of a Brandon Aiyuk Anytime TD.

Sunday 9.26pm: Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports NFL

Ravens (-4.5)

I’m going with Ravens (-4.5) here. They’re coming into Heinz Field after their second divisional game in a row and I just think 4.5 here seems a bit short given that last year they closed at -4 in the reverse fixture and that was without Lamar Jackson.

Steelers have just been in awful form of late. They’ve let in 41 twice in the last two and they only mustered a tie against the winless Lions. Ravens did get a bit lucky last week, Jackson drew four interceptions against the Browns, but their defence kept them in the game and they only conceded 10.

This Steelers team they’re playing this week, I think they’re ranked worst in pretty much every offensive category. I think Big Ben Roethlisberger might be thinking what his retirement’s actually going to look like. If they get him and force him to play I think they beat him and that’s what Ravens’ winning formula should be.

Devonta Freeman Baltimore Ravens

Devonta Freeman Anytime TD Scorer

I like Devonta Freeman Anytime TD Scorer here. He looks like he’s secured the No.1 running back job for The Ravens and he should have a great time against this Steelers defence. They’ve given up nearly 600 yards on the ground in the last three games including 165 yards and two touchdowns last week so hopefully Freeman can part this Steelers’ D and walk in for a touchdown.

Monday 1.21am: Broncos @ Chiefs

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports NFL

Chiefs (-9.5)

It might be a bit of a big line but I’m going with Chiefs (-9.5). This Broncos team are just so hard to get right. In their last three they’ve pulled off two decent wins, one against Dallas, and they absolutely controlled the Chargers last week, then they punctuated that with a loss to the Eagles.

The Chiefs have actually had the Broncos’ number for the last six years, since 2015 the Chiefs haven’t lost to the Broncos. In the time of Vic Fangio, the Broncos’ head coach, they’ve only managed to be within one touchdown once. There’s not much else you can see in this game other than Patrick Mahomes and Co coming out and dominating against this Broncos team.

Obviously the return of Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who came back last week after a five-game absence, will help. Add in the fact that Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is renowned for coming in hot off a bye week. He has a 19-3 record. I’d be looking to KC tearing apart the Broncos and continue their good run of form at the top of the AFC West.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire Anytime TD scorer

I’ve gone with the running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who’s just come back. He had a decent performance against the Cowboys after his knee injury be he did only get 63 yards on the ground but he did catch two that were thrown his way and notched up a touchdown.

I just think, with the extra week they’ve had to prepare, Reid will conjure up some interesting plays for him out of the backfield and we’ll be looking for Edwards-Helaire to get his second touchdown in two weeks.
