NFL tips: Take the Titans & Texans in our 13/2 enhanced trader treble

NFL trader Ian Dent takes a look at the Week 7 match-ups

Deshaun Watson Houston Texans October 18, 2020

Punters will be hoping to get back ahead in Week 7 of the NFL season, as the last round of matches had plenty of shocks. As a result, only three unbeaten teams remain, and two of those are facing each other.

The Pittsburgh Steelers head to Tennessee to take on the Titans, and the O must go for one of those. The other unbeaten team, the Seattle Seahawks, head to Arizona for a tough divisional match against the Cardinals who will be buoyed by their Week 6 demolition of the Cowboys.

Enhanced treble: Titans (-2.5), Cowboys (-1.5) and Texans (+3.5)

For the first leg I will go with Tennessee. I like Pittsburgh a lot, but feel the Titans are on a real roll after the COVID issues they had. The play-action game they have between Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry is working perfectly at the moment, and they’ve also got wide receiver AJ Brown back. The Steelers lost Devin Bush to the injured reserve list last week – he calls their plays on defence and will be a big loss.

For the second leg, I’m keeping the faith with Andy Dalton and the Cowboys after last week’s nightmare. Dalton never plays well in prime-time games, I’m hoping that in a sleepy afternoon game he should be better. The Cowboys offence should be far too good for Washington.

The final leg will be the Houston Texans who host the Packers. Houston had a very tough start, but they’ve fired their coach and it looks like Deshaun Watson is starting to click while they have some good receivers. The Packers struggled last week, and the lack of weapons Aaron Rodgers has at his disposal is starting to show, I like the Texans getting points at home here.

Same Game Multi: 49ers @ Patriots – 49ers win, total points under, Cam Newton passing yards under & George Kittle reception yards over

The 49ers are getting back to their old selves, and I think they will win on Sunday. Jimmy Garoppolo looked good last week while Cam Newton really struggled. The Patriots couldn’t put points on the board last week, so I like the points total to be under as well.

New England will focus on the running game, so Cam Newton’s passing yards should be under, while George Kittle looked explosive against the Rams. He will be the focal point of their air attack, and I think he will go over on his receiving yards.

These four bets together make for a great Same Game Multi this week, and if one leg lets you down you’ll get a free bet anyway.

Monday Night Football: Chicago Bears @ LA Rams – Rams +5.5 and Robert Woods anytime and 1st TD scorer markets

The Bears have been the surprise team of the season at 5-1, but I don’t rate them at all. I think the Rams are superior and at home I think they can cover the points spread here. The Bears D has been strong, but outside of Allen Robinson they have nothing much on offence.

In the touchdown markets, I’m going with Robert Woods. He has scored in three of the last four games, he’s a receiver who also runs on jet sweeps and I can see the Rams leaning on him.
