Nat Coombs: My Daily Fantasy cheat sheet for week 7 picks

Boost your chances at Daily Fantasy glory by pinpointing the best match-ups. Here’s the expert fantasy advice you need for Week 7

Some picks are obvious, others are a game of reading the numbers. Look at the stats chart to see maximum gain from your Week 7 picks.

Stack

Matthew Stafford (£7,300, 18.35 FPPG) and Kenny Golladay (£7,100, 14.48 FPPG) – MIN @ DET

The key to this pick is value. Before the start of the season, Golladay said he could be “100-catch guy”. He will do well to match that goal — he has 22 receptions through six weeks — but the wide receiver did notch up 121 receiving yards against a tough Packers defense on Monday night, and will be ready to put together another big performance next time out.

The Lions’ match-up against the Vikings could be a high-scoring affair, with Stafford likely to have to air the ball out to chase the game. Golladay is his favourite target with the pair boasting a respectable 364 yards and four touchdowns so far in 2019. Plus, the money saved on these two picks should free up some cash to spend bigger elsewhere.

Going Big: The Top Player

Leonard Fournette (£7,900, 15.71 FPPG)- JAX @ CIN

Fournette has been a strong fantasy pick so far this season, putting up 558 rushing yards and averaging 97.3 yards per game – both the third-most in the league this season.

Fournette heads to the winless Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, who hold the title as the worst rushing defence in 2019. Yes, it will cost a dime or two to add him to your lineup, but Fournette is worth it this week.

It is worth mentioning that Green Bay’s Aaron Jones could also be a player to hang your hopes on in Week 7. With the Packers receiving corp banged up, look for Jones to see a lot more of the ball. He is also slightly cheaper than Fournette at £7,600.

Bargain Pick

Matt Breida (£6,200, 11.8 FPPG) — SF @ WSH

The San Francisco 49ers may well reach the Super Bowl this season, and if they do, it will be down to two things: The defense and the run game. The niners have run the ball more than any other team this year, opting for the ground game 56 percent of the time.

Breida touched the ball 17 times in Week 6 against the LA Rams, and will look to do so again this week when he faces the Redskins — who are 28th against the run. Expect a comfortable win for the West Coast team and for Breida to make good on his expectation.

Avoid

Melvin Gordon (£6,00, 6.05 FPPG) — TEN @ LAC

Gordon returned to action in Week 5 after holding out for a new deal but simply hasn’t looked the same. He has rushed for 49 yards in the two resulting games without scoring a touchdown, while the rest of the Chargers offense is looking out of sync.

Maybe Gordon will boom back to action this week against the quarterback-changing Titans, but his 6.05 FPPG means there are better options elsewhere.

Defence

Buffalo Bills (£5,500, 8.8 FPPG) – MIA @ BUF

One of the NFL’s best and toughest defense will face arguably the league’s worst offense when win-less Miami travel up the East Coast to Buffalo on Sunday. The tanking Dolphins have scored 42 points through five games, and will take on a Bills defense that is yet to concede more than 17 through four quarters.

Don’t miss your opportunity to reap the rewards of this huge mismatch.
