Tru blues for the Bears in London? And 6 other NFL Week 5 questions

The Bears are set to miss Mitch Trubisky on their trip to London - or are they? Maybe they've had a better QB option on their bench all along

Forget everything you’re upset about football-wise and just celebrate for a second that Vontaze Burfict has been shipped off and suspended by the NFL for the entire season.

I don’t have a least favourite team in the NFL, but it will absolutely be the next team who picks him up in the offseason.

The league is a better place without him, but that’s a lot of last week talk.

Miami are on a bye week, but I still fancy them to cough up a touchdown or two.

This is seven burning questions ahead of this NFL week, and I’m your host, Andrew Cunneen.

Kent Brockman is definitely a better anchor name.

Will Melvin Gordon Be Bothered?

Melvin Gordon’s holdout went about as well as everyone expected. The Chargers are running the ball efficiently and he’s now out of pocket.

The only reason he’s come back is to try and earn his free agency tag and to do so, he has to play half the season.

He’s going to get snaps, but the question now is – will he actually try, or will he just protect himself?

Jerk Goff?

The man is clueless. Absolutely clueless. The Rams are going into Seattle and he won’t be able to hear a thing. He’s also not a good communicator, so he won’t be able to relay that message in ample time over crowd noise.

Yes, he’s a system quarterback with a good arm – and that’s all he is. Even this year, most of his throws are underneath routes to Kupp and Woods.

Jared Goff is going to be buried in Seattle.

How ‘Bout Dem.. Bucs?

I think they’re a terrible team. But then I’m reminded why they’re a good football team. Then something happens to remind me why I thought they were terrible in the first place.

The Bucs are the most divisive team in all of football, and I just want to know what to truly make of them.

Man, they beat Carolina comfortably and were then beaten by the Giants. I dunno.

Is Von Miller About to be Traded?

Von Miller is not old by any stretch, but much like other ageing players that depend on burst, he’ll show regression.

He’s been getting double-teamed on some snaps, with Bradley Chubb demanding attention. Now he’ll get doubled every time.

At this point in his career, are Denver best to try and shop his mega-contract to some nearly-there team who reach and think he’s their missing piece?

Cleveland Browns

Baker, Baker, Touchdown Maker or Plain ‘ol Faker Mayfield?

I think the Niners have the second-best defence in the NFL behind the Patriots. I genuinely do.

For all the Bears have on the back-end, what Saleh has done to coach this group away from inconsistency is amazing.

Mayfield is going to have to get rid of this ball quickly and diagnose pre-snap moreso than he has done at this point.

My money is on him failing.

Ditch Mitch?

We’re about to see how operationally sound the Bears are without Mitch Trubisky. He hurt his shoulder last week against the Vikings and Chase Daniel will now deputise.

Chase Daniel is a functional quarterback and that’s bad news for Trubisky, and, to some degree, the Bears.

He’s about to show that trading up in 2017 to get the North Carolina product was a huge mistake.

Hurry Murray Worries?

If you can’t do it against Cincinnati, who can you do it against?

Murray has not looked NFL-solid so far, and he’ll need to really buck up if he doesn’t want to be benched out of protection for his development.
