WATCH: The Racing Post Tipster reveals NFL Week 3 picks

Landing treble on these punts could score you an 11/2 touchdown…

We’ve had the lads from the Racing Post give us their tips for the weekend’s NFL action:

Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) v Jacksonville Jaguars – 20/21

The first London game of the season kicks off on Sky at 2.30pm. In recent times Jacksonville have enjoyed their annual Wembley jaunt, winning the previous two outings. A hat trick here seems unlikely though. While it could be argued that travelling across the pond gives them a preparation edge, a much more compelling argument can be made that Baltimore are the superior team. The Ravens defence have been typically strong this season conceding just one TD in two games. Blake Bortles has been typically erratic. It’s hard to see him navigating some choppy waters here and the Jags will struggle to put up many points. Baltimore may not be all that prolific themselves but should score enough to cover the spread.

New York Giants (+6.0) v Philadelphia Eagles – 10/11

It’s only week 3 but this is already a massive divisional tussle. Should they lose it the G men will have to claw themselves out of a 0-3 hole. This is an interesting match-up with both teams showing similar deficiencies so far this season. Neither can establish the run and both quarterbacks have struggled behind leaky offensive lines. Philadelphia QB Carson Wentz has managed decent production despite these difficulties. Eli Manning on the other hand has failed to find an answer. However, it is worth noting that he does often start the season slowly though and is a big game player. Odell Beckham should be sharper from last week’s belated comeback and should do well against an Eagle’s second choice corner, Ronald Darby. Expect significant improvement from both Manning and Beckham in this crucial game, which should at least ensure a close encounter. This makes the Giants a play with the 6 point start.

Washington Redskins (+3.0) v Oakland Raiders – 20/21

The optimism generated in Oakland by last year’s Derek Carr led run to the playoffs has carried over into this term. They have opened up with two comfortable wins, albeit against ordinary opposition. The Redskins present a stiffer test. Washington run the ball effectively and this should help in limiting the amount of times the dangerous Carr gets his hands on the ball. Also Oakland have some defensive frailties. The powder puff N.Y Jets offence scored 20 points against them last week. As the spread suggests this has the makings of a tight game. The Skins with home advantage and a 3 point start look the bet here.
