There is British interest on the UFC 295 fight card after Tom Aspinall’s late addition to proceedings.
The latest event on the UFC schedule was set to be headlined by Jon Jones’ blockbuster battle with Stipe Miocic, but the heavyweight champion suffered a torn pectoral muscle in training which will sideline him for the best part of a year.
That means Aspinall has stepped up to the plate to face Russian Sergei Pavlovich for the interim heavyweight championship, while Jiří Procházka and Alex Pereira’s scrap for the vacant light heavyweight title has been promoted to main event status.
