Conor McGregor returns to UFC action on tonight against an old foe in the shape of American Dustin Poirier. The Notorious beat Poirier back in 2014 after just 1 minute and 46 seconds, but former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion McGregor will be facing a much more experienced foe this time round.

He’s racked up some fine wins since losing to McGregor six years ago, with the American beating the likes of Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway, Eddie Alvarez and Dan Hooker. The 31-year-old’s only loss in his last eight fights came against the now-retired Khabib Nurmagomedov, someone McGregor knows all too well.

DON’T MISS:

We haven’t seen McGregor step into the octagon since January 2020, where he finished Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone after just 40 seconds in Las Vegas. The Irishman seems raring to go for his rematch with Poirier, with McGregor said to be hoping to fight numerous times in 2021.

McGregor is the big favourite for the scrap as we approach fight night, and our traders expect him to get it done in the early rounds rather than this one going the distance. And we’ve got a boosted Power Price on McGregor to win inside the first round and inside the first 60 seconds.

There is value to be found betting on McGregor to claim victory quickly, while we’re offering longer odds on the Notorious getting the win late on.

If you fancy Poirier to upset the Irishman there’s money to be made. We’ve long odds of the American winning by any method, whether it’s a knockout, submission or points. You may fancy backing Poirier to win by submission considering McGregor’s four losses of his entire career have all been tap outs.
