With less than a week to go to the biggest night of his career at UFC Fight Night 130 in Liverpool, Darren Till really needs no invitation to get punchy and we gave him just that chance!
We sat down in the octagon with the UFC welterweight ahead of his mega-bout with Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson to get his views on all the top contenders in his division and he didn’t waste any time taking the rest of the opposition down.
Former title challenger Gunnar Nelson got a pass from the Liverpudlian – though Till feels he’s “not better” than him – as does Kamaru Usman, even if “he talks to much” for our MMA ambassador’s liking.
Colby Covington doesn’t fare too well though and you can just see our man would love to slap his “ugly face”. Although menacingly, Till told us that he only found out Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone was a “nice guy” after putting him in the hospital.
Then his focus swiftly turned to ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson, the man he’ll stare across the octagon against on Sunday and the Welterweight kingpin Tyron Woodley before we wrapped up. Let’s just say if his punches and kicks are as sharp as his tongue we’re glad we are not on the end of them!
