We’re not quite sure if the Notorious one is an actual fan of the Scottish champions, but there’s definitely some mutual respect there and just last month McGregor tweeted his gratitude to the Green Brigade in Celtic’s safe standing area after they unveiled a banner inspired by the fighter.
Appearing at An Evening with Conor McGregor event in Glasgow last night, the UFC Lightweight champion wasted no time going for the jugular of Rangers as he took to the stage.
With his entrance music still blaring in the background the Dubliner immediately got on the mic shouting: “What’s up Glasgow Celtic?! The only football club around here worth talking about.”
He followed that up by singing: “Glasgow is green and white!” Which the majority of the crowd in the SEC Armadillo chanted back at him, even if there was a few boos mixed in there.
