It’s day two of the Aintree 2021 meet, which means we’re just one day away from the most magical race in every punter’s book  – The Grand National at 17:15 on Saturday April 10.

Don’t miss it!

Between then and now there’s also a raft of great racing from the Merseyside course to entertain, delight – and possibly provide a few winners.

To help out with that, Paddy has searched far and wide (okay, the contacts on his phone) for the best brains in the racing business – Mick Fitzgerald, Timeform, Frank Hickey and Matt Chapman – to put together our day two cheat sheet.

And he’s even drawing on his own, err, encyclopaedic equine knowledge to throw in his own tips in as well!

Smashing stuff!

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

There are a whopping great FOUR Grade 1 races on Friday, all of them live on your tellybox, and if that doesn’t float your boat there’s the Topham Chase at 4:05 as well, which gives us a sneak peek of the Grand National fences a day early.

Here are some of our pundits’ favourite picks for the top races of the day:

For the day’s first race, our trader Frank Hickey says: “MONTE CRISTO ran much better than his finishing position in the Coral Cup implies.”

In the Grade 1 Steeple Chase at 3:25, Matt Chapman says: “This is the perfect rack for POLITOLOGUE who won this race a few seasons back.”

And Mick Fitzgerald had this to say on the 4:05 Handicap Chase: “PRECIOUS CARGO has had a wind operation and shaped well on his first run after it at Warwick. Makes each-way appeal at a nice price.”

So if you want to be the toast of the Whatsapp group on Friday evening, you can read up on all of Friday’s tips here.
