Dust off your Leprechaun hats and get the Guinness on the go because it’s St Patrick’s Thursday at the Cheltenham Festival!
The action switches to the New Course for day three of the mega meet and we’re sponsoring the big race, the Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle, as last year’s winner Teahupoo fights off the challengers for his crown.
The other Grade 1 takes place over fences as Gold Cup dodgers including Fact To File, Il Est Francais and Jungle Boogie attempt to take flight in the Ryanair Chase.
It is, otherwise, a day for big fields and there are a bumper 24 runners in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle including the highly-touted Maughreen, Quevega’s daughter Aurora Vega and Joseph O’Brien’s juvenile Galileo Dame.
The restyled Jack Richards Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase looks ultra-competitive with the likes of Asian Master, Firefox and Nurburgring involved before the lottery that is the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle.
We move to the TrustATrader Plate Handicap Chase after the feature races and the Kim Muir rounds off the card as the stayers take centre stage.
Cheltenham Festival odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, everything you need to know about today’s action at Prestbury Park is below.
