Constitution Hill returns to action against 4 rivals at Ascot this Saturday

Constitution Hill makes his eagerly-anticipated seasonal bow in the Ascot Hurdle on Saturday.

The Champion Hurdle antepost favourite steps up in trip to 2m3½f for the Grade 2 and faces four rivals at 14:40 including Goshen and Brewin’upastorm.

The latest Ascot Hurdle odds are on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, where you can also live stream the race.

It is one of seven renewals that will be shown on ITV1. The feature on Saturday’s ITV Racing card is the Grade 1 Betfair Chase from Haydock.

The Ascot Hurdle will be Constitution Hill’s first run since blitzing the field to win the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle by 22l in March.

He also recorded a comprehensive victory in the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown in his first season over flights.

Saturday’s spin represents Constitution Hill’s maiden run in open company and the first step on the road to facing the unbeaten Honeysuckle at next year’s Cheltenham Festival.
