Supreme Novices’ Hurdle runners

Bring On The Night

Trainer: W. P. Mullins Jockey: B. J. Cooper Age: 5 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Fairly useful dual-Flat winner in 2020 for Andre Fabre. Expertly prepared to make winning hurdles debut at Naas 16 days ago, and while this a totally different ask, he’s a nice prospect. Tongue tied.

Constitution Hill

Trainer: Nicky Henderson Jockey: Nico de Boinville Age: 5 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Irish point recruit who has looked something out of the ordinary under Rules in two runs at Sandown, his debut effort backed up by the clock and his Tolworth success all class. Very exciting prospect.

Dysart Dynamo

Trainer: W. P. Mullins Jockey: P. Townend Age: 6 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Free-going sort but looked a bit special when extending unbeaten run to 4 in Moscow Flyer Novices’ Hurdle at Punchestown. Limit not yet reached and could be a tough nut to crack.

Jonbon

Trainer: Nicky Henderson Jockey: Aidan Coleman Age: 6 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Brother to top-class Douvan and could be of similar standard himself, stretching his unbeaten record to 5 (including a point) in Grade 2 at Haydock in January. Well-run race would really suit. Player.

Jpr One

Trainer: Colin Tizzard Jockey: Brendan Powell Age: 5 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Winner of novice hurdles at Exeter and Taunton this winter and even better form when narrowly denied here in between. No impact in the Betfair Hurdle and this a tough race to bounce back in.

Kilcruit

Trainer: W. P. Mullins Jockey: Mr P. W. Mullins Age: 7 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Second in the Champion Bumper last year and made winning hurdles debut in April. Suffered brace of surprising defeats in December but, back in trip and tongue tied, he got it right at Punchestown.

Mighty Potter

Trainer: Gordon Elliott Jockey: J. W. Kennedy Age: 5 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Benefited enormously from experience in Royal Bond Novices’ Hurdle at Fairyhouse when resuming winning ways in Future Champions Novices’ Hurdle at Leopardstown. Will stay further and a likeable type.

Shallwehaveonemore

Trainer: Gary Moore Jockey: Joshua Moore Age: 5 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Won sole bumper start and opened account over hurdles at third attempt with a bloodless display at Sandown in February. Similar form when second in the Dovecote but he could do with settling down.

Silent Revolution

Trainer: Paul Nicholls Jockey: Harry Cobden Age: 6 Weight: 11st 7lbs

Winning bumper form pretty ordinary but displayed willing attitude to make successful reappearance/hurdles bow (having had a wind operation) at Newbury in November. Off since and this asking a lot.

Supreme Novices’ Hurdle tips

Timeform: Another small-field Supreme but a cracking curtain-raiser nonetheless. The Nicky Henderson-trained pair JONBON and Constitution Hill defend unbeaten records, and in the hope the former gets a good pace to aim at for the first time in his hurdles career, he appeals as being the bet at the prices. Dysart Dynamo looked a bit special at Punchestown and has to be feared.
