This will be a race to savour. I’m going for Shiskin here. Everything that he’s done on the clock this year so far let’s you know how impressive he’s been. I think he might be a bit of value on the day, given the fact that the Irish will back Energumene before the off. I think he might reach a silly price because of that. A silly price or not, I still think he’ll win.

Monkfish – Brown Advisory Novices Chase, Wednesday, 1.55
Monkfish really is a good thing. I love this horse. He’s such a big horse. To be able to win over hurdles, just shows you how good a horse he is. If he lined up in a Gold Cup, I’d want to be backing him. What’s not to like about a horse who’s looked brilliant over fences so far? I am super confident about this one.

Hook Up – Mares Novices’ Hurdle, Thursday, 4.15
I really fancy Hook Up here. She was unlucky behind Ballyadam and Appreciate it last time. I think that’s really good form. It’s too good to pass up here and Willie Mullins can take this race yet again, with Hook Up.
Triumph Hurdle – Zanahiyr, Friday, 1.20
I like both Tritonic and Zanahiyr in this one. The best of the Irish against the best of the British. Its what Cheltenham is all about. Zanahiyr put up a great time when winning at Fairyhouse. The clock doesn’t lie. I’m not going to desert him here. He will carry the burden of the last leg our Lucky 15 this year!
