14:20 Cage Rattler
CAGE RATTLER didn’t make much of an impact in three starts in maiden hurdles, but with a couple of spins on the Flat under his belt, he proved more competitive on his handicap hurdle debut when third at Newcastle a few weeks ago.
Cage Rattler, who was stepping up in trip, shaped pretty well, having been asked to make up quite a bit of ground in a short space of time, and he can give another good account off the same mark.
14:50 Forest Blaze
FOREST BLAZE was disappointing when only seventh behind Bollin Neil at Catterick last time, but he had been in good heart prior to that, and it would be little surprise to see him bounce back and return to the scene of his only success to date.
Forest Blaze was third here over two miles on his handicap debut in November, looking in need of a stiffer test of stamina, and he duly showed improved form when tackling this course and distance the following month. He then ran to a similar level when third at Wetherby, leaving the impression he’s still one to be interested in at this level, so he’s worth another chance.
15:20 Road To Home
ROAD TO HOME, a bumper winner on his only start for Eugene O’Sullivan, ran out when still in contention at Naas on his first start for Willie Mullins but shaped with promise when third at the same venue last time.
He stayed on well at Naas, so he is likely to be better suited for longer distances, but he sets the standard on form and is taken to get off the mark over hurdles.
Hes Bresilian shaped well when third at Newcastle last time, looking likely to make a race of it with the winner only to lose his chance with a bad mistake at the second last, and he can give the selection most to do.

15:50 Coolmoyne
Most of these have something to prove, but COOLMOYNE at least arrives on the back of a good effort at Doncaster last month. He was disappointing on his second and third outings for this stable after making a solid start when runner-up at Sedgefield, but following a breathing operation, he bounced back to form to finish second at Doncaster.
His sole success was achieved over this course and distance last May for his former yard, and he looks to have found a good opportunity to add to his tally.
16:20 Rewired
REWIRED had been tumbling in the weights and he took advantage of his much-reduced mark at Newcastle a few weeks ago, asserting from the last to score by three and a half lengths. He looked back on song at Newcastle, so he remains fairly treated following a 4lb rise in the weights, mindful that he’s still 9lb below the mark he defied at Taunton last year for his former yard.
16:50 Lieutenant Command
LIEUTENANT COMMAND beat only one home on his first start for Tristan Davidson at Carlisle last month, but he went through most of that race as if back in form until his stamina ran dry up in trip. The drop back in trip here should suit; he’s been eased 4lb in the weights and is in a weaker class of race, so he looks worth siding with.
17:25 Imperfectlyperfect
IMPERFECTLYPERFECT shaped well when third on his bumper debut at Kelso last month, putting in some good late work after getting outpaced in a race run at a steady tempo.
Such a modest gallop wouldn’t have suited Imperfectlyperfect, a recruit from the pointing sphere, but he showed plenty to work on by the end and is expected to take a step forward here. The form of that Kelso contest has also worked out well with the runner-up winning next time and the winner showing better form when finishing second on his next start.
