14:15 Loch Frisa
LOCH FRISA didn’t show much when a distant fourth on his hurdling debut at Plumpton in January, but he offered some encouragement when not beaten as far in the same position at Ludlow last time.
Loch Frisa is in good hands with Ben Pauling and may still have more to offer, so he gets the vote to get off the mark at the chief expense of hurdling debutant Castanea Breeze, who was third on his last couple of outings in bumpers.
14:45 Bodygroove
BODYGROOVE was sent off at a long price on his handicap hurdle debut at Wetherby last week, but he showed much-improved form to win by two lengths.
He was racing on a sounder surface than for his previous efforts over jumps and he travelled well, made smooth headway approaching the third last and was produced to lead before the final flight.
As that victory was achieved in a race for conditional riders, he escapes a penalty, so he is well treated off the same mark here.
Joshua Thompson was aboard at Wetherby and retains the ride here.
15:15 Issar d’Airy
ISSAR D’AIRY took well to chasing last season, winning his first two starts over fences at Newbury.
He’s not won since then, but he has shown some useful form in handicaps this season and has finished runner-up on three occasions, including at Sandown last time.
This slight drop in trip and sharper test should suit Issar d’Airy and he remains on a competitive mark.

15:50 Feet On The Ground
FEET ON THE GROUND ultimately failed to improve on her novice form when only fourth on her handicap debut at Wincanton earlier this month, but she showed up well enough to suggest she still has the potential to take a step forward.
Feet On the Ground wasn’t able to sustain her challenge, having typically taken a strong hold, but she may settle down as she gains experience, which could unlock a bigger effort.
The superb form of trainer Fergal O’Brien, who won the two valuable mares’ races at the weekend, is in her favour.
16:25 Pittsburg
PITTSBURG put a couple of disappointing efforts behind him when third over this course and distance ten days ago.
Since then, he’s been eased 1 lb, so he is now 6 lb below the mark he defied at Uttoxeter last July and has conditions in his favour.
He has fewer questions to answer than most of his rivals and is taken to register a second course-and-distance victory.
17:00 Uptown Dandy
UPTOWN DANDY has shown plenty to work with on both starts.
He was runner-up at Exeter on debut and then ran to a similar level when a close-up third at the same course last time.
He sets a decent standard for his rivals to aim at and is taken to get off the mark. Plains Drifter, representing the in-form Fergal O’Brien stable, can fare best of the newcomers.
