17:30 Queen All Star

This looks tricky with a few of these runners returning after an absence, but the vote goes to QUEEN ALL STAR who won on her Windsor debut last August before a good third under a penalty at Goodwood three weeks later.

She sets the standard on her reappearance and is open to more progress on this drop in trip. Vamp and Our Planet are feared most in that order, although Art Of Fox looks interesting, dropped to 5f on his second start, and the newcomer Bint Elnadim Star needs watching in the market.

18:00 Green Team

Top of the list is GREEN TEAM, who produced a late thrust when scoring over 1m4f here last Saturday and is a big player if he can repeat that form back up in trip.

The main danger is Wannabe Brave, who won four times on AW last year and ended 2024 with a clear second at Chelmsford. Third choice is dual-purpose performer Fashionelle, who is still unexposed on the Flat and was placed over 1m6f at Southwell last time.

18:30 Tuscan Star

Ray Gun is respected after his close call in a Southwell handicap last Saturday, while the well-related Kate O’Riley won a maiden here in November and looks interesting now upped to this trip on her handicap debut.

However, preference is for TUSCAN STAR, who has found stacks of improvement with his three wins this year and may well be able to strike again back on Tapeta to improve his record to 4-5.

19:00 Ash Wednesday (NAP)

Several have possibilities, but the most striking contender is ASH WEDNESDAY (NAP), whose form has really taken off this year. He made it four wins from his last five runs when scoring over C&D last Monday.

Hat-trick seeker Bobby Joe Leg is feared most ahead of Straight A, who went close off the same mark at Southwell last time. Recent Kempton runner-up City Cyclone is also in the mix, along with G’Daay and Zu Run.

19:30 Brazilian Rose

A competitive race in which the vote goes to BRAZILIAN ROSE, who is 4-10 on AW and had a near miss off a similar mark at Southwell 11 days ago.

Many A Star didn’t get any luck in a Class 2 last time, and he’s feared most ahead of Supreme King, who was as good as ever when scoring at Kempton on his last start. Recent Southwell winner Ziggy’s Condor could make another bold bid, while others to keep an eye on are Twilight Romance and Blind Beggar.

20:00 Raft Up

This looks highly competitive, but the vote goes to the resurgent RAFT UP, who made it 2-2 in a hood when completing a Newcastle double 18 days ago.

The other last-time-out winners, Radiant Angel (second choice) and Heartrate, are feared most ahead of Papa Don’t Preach, who has been knocking on the door in his last two starts. Shamardia was a clear second at Chelmsford last time and has claims if she can back that up, while another to consider is Southbank.

20:30 Paradoxical

Mr Baloo made it 4-11 on AW when overcoming trouble for a last-gasp win at Newcastle 11 days ago.

He’s respected off only 2lb higher on this step back up trip, but preference is for the highly progressive PARADOXICAL, who has won six times since December, including at this track in his last four starts.

Caelan looks interesting after his eye-catching effort at Southwell, while the selection’s stablemate, How’s The Guvnor, needs checking in the market on his return for a new yard.
