Dr Eggman and Champagne Kid are closely matched on form, and they are the standard setters, but they have both been a bit frustrating to follow, and it may be worth taking a chance on CABARET PRINCE.
He’s a point winner who wasn’t beaten far on his rules introduction, and there’s every chance he’ll take a step forward from that run with this step-up in trip likely to suit.

Gavin Cromwell’s team are flying and SPRINGT DE LA MARE looks capable of defying top weight on handicap debut with the new trip likely to suit after two impressive wins in beginners’/novice company.
Sargent Lightfoot may go well despite a break for another yard in-form after showing plenty of promise over fences last year. Another to consider is Soloman Lane who may have won without a late error at Gowran last month.
16:03 Harry Des Ongrais (NAP)
This trip could be the making of Fun Fun Fun, and it’s probably best to turn a blind eye to the run at Exeter, having impressed on her chase debut. However, HARRY DES ONGRAIS (NAP) jumped particularly well when winning at Gowran, and he, too, should benefit from this stiffer stamina test. Monbeg Park has to be feared after what he delivered at Leopardstown.

With most of these exposed, the eyes are drawn towards BANPRIONSA, who tackles her first handicap chase over a trip that looks sure to suit. Sainte Dona should make a bold bid up front, and Made In The Woods, whose sole success came in this race two years ago, also makes the shortlist after his timely return to form ten days ago.
17:13 Light Up The Dark
Joseph O’Brien has a cracking strike rate in bumpers, particularly this season, and his dominant Naas scorer, LIGHT UP THE DARK, gets the tentative vote.
She was really getting the hang of things in the closing stages that day, and there’s every chance she can take another step forward. Eternal Echo and Oneinthewell are closely matched on form and the former may be capable of reversing form now 7lb better off at the weights.
