Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what an NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

13:35 Bangor – Nusret (The Times)

A good handicap to kick off. NUSRET has been off since August when trained in Ireland, but he has some flashes of really smart form under both codes, and he should be in his element around here on the forecast good ground.

Homme Public was runner-up in this two years ago and can put up another bold show after running so well over fences last time. Thunder Rock has been a bit cold this season but Lewis Saunders takes away 7lb on this belated return to handicap company. Mr Freedom is another to bear in mind.

14:05 Newbury – Old Cowboy (Spotlight)

It’s a hard choice in this promising line-up, but OLD COWBOY could be the way to go. He shaped well here on his hurdle debu,t and although he took his time to build on that, a wide-margin win in a small field at Plumpton 12 days ago suggests he is now heading the right way again.

Glynn Brae and Serious Challenge have proven class among the top weights, while Calimystic (second choice) has looked promising with a similar trip and ground at Doncaster, where Norn Iron didn’t get much luck last time.

15:00 Kelso – Barrabool (The Guardian)

The Harry Derham-trained BARRABOOL could be on a good mark back on better ground for her handicap debut and she earns the vote ahead of old rival Tour Ovalie, who has enjoyed an excellent season. The return to a sounder surface could be a major plus for Rula Bula, but cases can be made for several of these, including Surrey Belle, Game Colours, and Northern Air.

15:20 Navan – Ol Man Dingle (The Irish Sun)

OL MAN DINGLE came up short in his quest for a four-timer off a career-high mark in a valuable 2m handicap at the DRF but still ran with great credit to finish fourth of 18; steps up markedly in trip returned to novice company and has to give weight to his rivals but entitled to be thereabouts with a rating of 139.
