14:00 Paddys Policy
PADDY’S POLICY holds the edge on form in this field, as he pulled clear with a next-time-out winner in opening his account over course and distance two starts back. He’s probably worth forgiving his latest effort, which came on heavy ground, and he’s been found a good opportunity to get back on the up now.. Lawmans Blis rates the chief threat for his new handler, although hurdling newcomer Celestial Reign could have a say, especially if the market vibes are positive.
14:35 Scorsese
SCORSESE remains a maiden, but he caught the eye in first-time blinkers over just short of 3m at Exeter last time, moving through his race like a well-handicapped horse having attracted support. He did too much wrong in the race over a longer trip, though, jumping to his left and was a little too keen. He’s well worth another chance to prove himself on a good mark. Grand Scheme and Scar Bridge can also make their presence felt.
15:10 Siberian Star
A relatively open handicap, with the preference for SIBERIAN STAR, who looked in control for much of the straight, before being collared late in the piece by a subsequent winner at Doncaster earlier in the month. He remains well treated nudged up just 1lb in the handicap, so Peter & Mickey Bowen’s 10-year-old is expected to double his tally for the season, likely at the main expense of Ballydisco, who should appreciate a step back up in trip. Yippee Ki Yay looks to be the best of the remainder.

15:45 Born In The West
A tricky staying contest to solve, but the vote goes to BORN IN THE WEST, who put up a complete performance to open his account at Catterick just over two weeks ago, and this significant step up in trip could unlock further improvement. Heading the dangers is Musique de Fee, who bolted up at Hereford earlier this month, and may have more to offer as a thorough stayer. Another last-time-out winner Maura Jeanne rounds off the shortlist.
16:20 No But I Will
NO BUT I WILL has fallen down the weights since joining Robbie Llewellyn, but signalled a return to form when narrowly beaten over 2m at Taunton 10 days ago. That was in spite of the much shorter trip, while he also didn’t jump the last fluently, so he looks very interesting moving back up to a more suitable trip racing from the same mark. The Paddy Pie and Shattered Soldier are feared most.
16:53 Inferno Sacree
INFERNO SACREE hasn’t won for almost two years, but he’s been holding his form well of late, giving the short-price favourite plenty to think about when attempting to make all of the running over this course and distance last week. He was headed after an untidy leap at the last, but this race doesn’t look as strong, and he seems sure to make another bold bid from the front. Southwell scorer Synchronist is also respected, while Allbetsoff and Telhimlisten are in the picture.
