14:15 Devon Dude
This isn’t a strong maiden hurdle by any means and it looks an excellent opportunity for DEVON DUDE to open his account over hurdles. He produced his best effort to date when runner-up at Taunton last month, beaten only a neck and pulling 15 lengths clear of the third. The drop to two miles shouldn’t be a problem in this field and he sets a strong standard. Land Girl’s Luck can give him most to think about.
14:45 J J Moon
Another weak event where it is impossible to oppose J J MOON. He showed fairly useful form when opening his account in bumpers and he has shown promise over hurdles this season, confirming the improved form he showed at Wincanton the time before when beaten a head at Kempton last time. He pulled miles clear of the remainder with the winner and is rated 38 lb higher than Dino Magic on Timeform ratings.
15:17 Le Ligerien
LE LIGERIEN had been given a chance by the handicapper and, fitter for his reappearance, he took full advantage when resuming winning ways in a similar event at Lingfield in December. He was ridden more patiently than usual on that occasion, always travelling well and winning with plenty in hand. A subsequent 6 lb rise leaves him well treated on the pick of his form and he seems sure to launch another bold bid. Stoner’s Choice has proved he retains his ability over hurdles this season after a long absence so is feared most back chasing.
15:52 Cooleenymore
An unconvincing bunch but at least COOLEENYMORE arrives on the back of a good effort at this course last month. That was over shorter, but all of her best form has come at around this trip, and she seems sure to appreciate the extra emphasis on stamina. Dans le Vent is next best down in class.

16:27 The Long Point
THE LONG POINT made a good start to his handicap career when second at Kempton last month, beating only by a thriving winner, and impressing with how he went through his race. He’s 3 lb higher now, but still looks well treated, and he can go one better now. Course maiden winner Saint Cyr De Pail was better than the result suggests at Warwick last time and is second choice ahead of Bredon Hill, who was a place behind the selection at Kempton, and Night Duty.
17:02 Filanderer
FILANDERER was let down by his jumping on his chase debut, but he has shown much improved form since, opening his account at Market Rasen in October, and he followed up in good style at Wincanton in January. There is still room for improvement in his jumping, but a subsequent 5 lb rise in the weights shouldn’t be enough to stop this thriving sort completing a hat-trick. Sea Invasion may emerge as the main threat off a sliding mark.
17:35 Knockmoylan
An uninspiring match and recent point-winner KNOCKMOYLAN should have the measure of Grove Ash. The selection hasn’t been seen under Rules for nearly three years, but he is a superior horse and is strongly fancied to open his account in this sphere.
