13:52 Walk On The Beach
This looks to be between Krak and WALK ON THE BEACH with slight preference for Joseph O’Brien’s charge. He shaped with lots of promise in testing conditions on his hurdling debut at Naas and while he has to give weight away to the Crawford horse, he should improve plenty for this better ground. Hello Jack and Fortune The Brave complete the shortlist.
14:27 Savante (NAP)
A case can be made for a few of these. Timmy Tuesday is just 4lb higher than when winning at Ayr, and he should go well, as should the handicap debutant Grann’s Boy if he is fit after a 140-day break.
Interchangeable appeals most of the Crawford trio now he returns to better ground, but preference is for SAVANTE (NAP), who shaped well in a Grade 3 mares’ novice here in November. This is a lot easier than the race she contested at Leopardstown last time, and she is 2-3 on right-handed tracks.
15:02 Ar Nos Na Gaoithe
Last month’s Clonmel winner AR NOS GAOITHE is taken to defy an 8lb rise on ground which could suit. Navy Waves and Cher Tara could be the selection’s most dangerous rivals.

15:37 Favori De Champdou
A poor turnout. Gordon Elliott had a good record in this race until recent years and holds a very strong hand here. FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU is the best horse in the race, has the best recent form and gets the vote, although the ground is far from ideal.
Conversely, stablemate Jumping Jet prefers this type of ground and rates a big threat if back to her Ulster National winning form of last year. Gold Cup Bailly is another mudlark but has his chance if handling the ground, while the likely front-runner Marronstown has his ground but faces a very stiff task at the weights.
16:12 Listentillitellyea
A race in which question marks surround many. LISTENTILLITELLYA has still to prove his stamina but this ground should give him every chance chance of seeing it out. He gets the vote over Lightkeeper in a race in which any could win.
16:47 Beg To Differ
Course winners Ballyphilip, Milan Forth, and Drumnasoo are pretty closely matched on form, and another course winner, Big Interest, should do better now, returning to good ground.
However, it might be worth chancing the less exposed BEG TO DIFFER who will have the assistance of Derek O’Connor in the saddle. He has shaped nicely in two point-to-points on easy ground and his pedigree suggests that he could improve plenty for the switch to this sounder surface.
17:22 Echoing Silence
It may pay to persevere with ECHOING SILENCE, a disappointing favourite on hurdles debut, having won a point-to-point this time last year. Aisling Rose and Flamin Court appear the most likely of the Crawford trio, while others to note include Backwithyourown, Broomfield Aderra, Kabylia and the newcomer New York Diva.
