13:35 Speculatrix

Two mares who fell last time out could dominate here. It looked as if SPECULATRIX was gaining the upper hand when exiting at the last at Navan and she was set to beat Magic Day who was left to take third place. Ufouria was beaten when coming down two out at Fairyhouse but has shown plenty of ability in bumpers. Low-rated Flat handicapper Billie Frechette shaped well in a juvenile hurdle at Navan.

14:10 Small Doses

Given his reputation as a temperamental sort, SMALL DOSES is possibly a risky proposition but his Punchestown run was promising. Beckistine, who has had a bumper run since falling in the lead at the last at Limerick, rates a big danger. Half Past Tipsy and Ned In The Park can compete for a share of the money.

14:45 Onebrightbluerose

In an open-looking race, ONEBRIGHTBLUEROSE gets an each-way vote on the strength of her course form last summer. Likely dangers include Imadpour, third to a gambled-on winner at Leopardstown recently, and The Dawn, whose Clonmel second offered promise. Onlymammycanloveme might prefer further but deserves respect for his winning effort at Clonmel.

15:20 Cappucino (NAP)

The return of the hood may help CAPPUCINO (nap) whose fifth at Leopardstown over Christmas suggests there’s a handicap in him if he does things right. There’s every chance that Addragoole can build on his Clonmel maiden success and he’s better than he showed on handicap debut. Clarens has won around here and isn’t out of it while the decent ground might produce a more lively display from Ballystone who must be approaching a competitive mark.

15:55 Majestic Force

Judged on her second at Cork on her chasing debut, MAJESTIC FORCE can win a race of this standard. Her jumping let her down at Naas, but if avoiding error she should cope with the fragile Zefiro Dodville. Cuta Des As is held by the selection on Cork running.

16:30 Malton Groove

The best form claims are held by Bite That who was unfortunate not to land one of these in the autumn but he might be vulnerable off a break. It’s hard to fancy MALTON GROOVE on recent efforts but he twice ran well over C&D last summer and will be suited by the ground. Point-to-point winners Blue In The West, who ran well over hurdles two starts back, and Well Loved may be capable of contending on their first chase starts under rules.

17:05 Theflyingking

Three top yards with leading contenders. Kilgame is fitted with a tongue-tie and has been given time to mature since his stable debut over hurdles at Cork while Hank West cost plenty after winning a point-to-point on good ground in November and is related to a useful bumper winner. Preference is for THEFLYINGKING who has been narrowly beaten by decent rivals in both bumpers and sets a good standard.
