13:40 Power Blue
Three runners here for Adrian Murray who has won the last two editions of the race. David Egan’s mount POWER BLUE gets the vote to beat Stonezilian. Jim Bolger’s Slaney View and Josh Halley’s Zaltan make some appeal.
14:10 New Theory
Recent Dundalk form gives a serious chance to Clonmacash and Never Shout Never who went close on Friday night. However, it could pay to take a chance with NEW THEORY who signed off last season with a 5f maiden win at Navan. The consistent if frustrating Dark Viper might not be far away.
14:40 Merisi Diamond
This looks very open. MERISI DIAMOND returned from a similar break to win on this card 12 months ago and, although in deeper waters here, he’s shown he can cope with this mark. Apache Outlaw is weighted to reverse recent AW placings with the admirable Big Gossey, though whether he wants ground this soft is highly questionable. Betsen appeals as a horse with more to offer.

15:10 Copacabana Sands
Who knows what lurks amongst the newcomers and Win Me Over is a sister to Palace Pier, while Bint Queen Kindly is entered in the Irish 1,000 Guineas. However, some of those with experience have already performed to a good level, notably COPACABANA SANDS, Kitty Rickets and Murkala. Wannabe Roya is one with a recent run under her belt. The market should be helpful as regards assessing all their chances.
15:45 Gleneagle Bay
A key race could be the C&D handicap in which GLENEAGLE BAY split Rhythm King and Orandi at the end of last season. Colin Keane’s runner is the least exposed of that trio and gets the vote, with the other two by no means ruled out. Raadobarg, the 2022 winner and third last year, rates a major threat off his reduced mark. Smooth Tom ideally needs further but was second in this event last season. The high-class Crypto Force makes his handicap debut for an in-form stable.
16:20 First Wave (NAP)
Runner-up to stablemates on both starts last year, including at this track, FIRST WAVE (nap) can be suited by the step up to this trip and score. Raykir, Admiral Churchill and Mister Adam look to be his main dangers, while top-class bumper horse A Dream To Share is a fascinating runner.

16:55 Goldrush Kid
Pandion Power was a big improver last backend and is a major player but a chance is taken on GOLDRUSH KID who goes well on soft and is fit from hurdling over the winter. Gotta Catch’em All has a shout while third reserve Genuine Jim is interesting if getting in even if this trip is a query. Top-weight Rampage has a shout.
17:25 Alfred Tennyson
Having finished a close third to a pair of smart sorts on his final start last year, ALFRED TENNYSON can take this if ready enough on seasonal debut. Market strength would bolster confidence. Chester Nimitz, Mathan and Passing Phase can be his main dangers.
