16:20 Captain Parma
Those with experience don’t set an exacting standard in what looks a weak race of its type, so preference is for the James Owen-trained CAPTAIN PARMA. He represents a yard that are in flying form, makes appeal on paper – out of a mare who finished third in the UAE 1000 Guineas – and he won’t need to be anything out of the ordinary to make a winning start. Sibling Rivelry showed ability amidst obvious greenness when fourth on debut at Chelmsford recently and is feared most.
16:50 Fulford Cross
FULFORD CROSS showed plenty of ability despite displaying clear signs of inexperience and doing well to finish as close as he did from an unpromising position. He made good headway out wide over a furlong from home, closing all the way to the line but just failing to reel in one who made all. There should be more to come now and he can go one place better. I’ll Give It A Go should do better again, while Daddy Chill likely to take a step forward from his initial outing.
17:30 Romantic Opera
This looks a potential match between the Godolphin-owned pair ROMANTIC OPERA and Wishful Spirit. Preference is for the former, who has the benefit of experience, and came on a bundle for her debut run when runner-up at Kempton in January, failing to land the odds but still looking a work in progress. William Buick is in the plate for the first time now and she remains one to be positive about. Wishful Spirit needs monitoring in the market, though.
18:00 The Organiser
THE ORGANISER landed a gamble and made the perfect start for Ed Bethell when winning a course-and-distance handicap on Tuesday, taking advantage of a much-reduced mark. He only had half a length in hand at the line but he was strong at the finish and he remains well treated on old form turned out under a 5 lb penalty. King of York appeals as the one to chase him home ahead of Emily Post, Billy McGarry and Thanks Dad.

18:30 Legal Reform
LEGAL REFORM proved better than ever when recording his fourth win over this course and distance at the end of January under a well-judged ride from the front, finding plenty for pressure in the closing stages. The timefigure he recorded gives the form extra substance, too, so he seems sure to launch another bold bid from a 3 lb higher mark. Invincible Aura figures on a handy-looking mark and is next on the list with Abduction and Zip in the picture, too.
19:00 Way To Dubai
It could be worth rolling the dice with WAY TO DUBAI, who struggled for the most part in 2024, but he spent that campaign contesting higher-grade handicaps off higher marks than this. The six-year-old makes his debut for a yard that is no stranger to success with recruits from rival stables and it will look significant if the market speaks in his favour. Our Havana is next on the list ahead of Eligible and Feel The Need.
19:30 Shartash
SHARTASH looked unlucky not to finish closer when third in another strong handicap at Lingfield a fortnight ago, left poorly placed and finishing his race to good effect. That was his first start since contesting the Group 1 Champion Sprint at Ascot in October and he can build on his recent run to get back to winning ways. Rosario hasn’t been beaten far in his two starts this year and could be the main danger, while Tiger Crusade also arrives in good form and completes the shortlist.
20:00 Sax Appeal
The handicapper hasn’t overreacted to SAX APPEAL’s demolition job here a fortnight ago, handing him a 5 lb rise for that 14-length victory, and a fourth win on the bounce could be in the offing for Charlie Johnston’s charge. Lightly-raced maiden Not Me promises to be suited by this step up in trip and is taken to emerge as the main danger ahead of the Tony Carroll-trained duo, Annexation and Tortured Soul.
20:30 Commander Of Life
This looks pretty open, but preference is for COMMANDER OF LIFE, who put in a good shift when fourth over this course and distance from a 1 lb higher mark last month, doing all of his best work at the finish, and he can go well again. Mr Mistoffelees deserves to get his head in front following a couple of solid placed efforts and he is expected to offer stern resistance, while Visibility looks the pick of the two trained by Scott Dixon and he also enters calculations, along with Yeoman.
