16:55 Rhythm N Hooves

RHYTHM N HOOVES has found some consistency on all-weather this winter, making it two wins from his last three starts at Southwell 11 days ago. That was a straightforward success and he’s fancied to make another bold bid from this 3lb higher mark.

Kings Merchant enjoyed a very productive 2024, and he’s a player if ready to roll back from six months off. Almaty Star, another last-time-out winner for the Robert Cowell stable, is another to consider.

17:30 Ramon Di Loria

Having fallen 6lb below his last winning mark, RAMON DI LORIA took a big step back in the right direction when runner-up in a handicap over this course and distance nine days ago, giving best only to one who is proving progressive. That was an encouraging effort, and he’s tasked to confirm that promise now, with in-form pair Autumn Angel and Sisters In The Sky others holding good claims. Alshimali is another to note, particularly if settling better.

18:00 Marhaba Ghaiyyath

This should be plain sailing for MARHABA GHAIYYATH, who pulled 11 lengths clear of the rest when shading a close finish at Lingfield in December. That performance sets a clear standard in this field, and it will be disappointing if he isn’t able to follow up.

Luisa, who finished runner-up at this course last time, may be the chief threat unless the betting vibes are strong surrounding newcomer Reignman, the mount of Rossa Ryan.

18:30 Paradoxical

PARADOXICAL has struck up a good partnership with Warren Fentiman, and the pair can combine for a course hat-trick. He overcame a pace bias last time and, just 4lb higher in the weights, he should be bang in the mix again.

Init Together rates an obvious danger after his good spell this year, while Jez Bomb should also have a part to play if fully primed after four months off.

19:00 Kaaranah

KAARANAH ran well to finish runner-up at Kempton last time, keeping on well to finish never nearer than at the finish, and he can resume winning ways with Billy Loughnane taking the reins this time.

English Spirit and Masqool arrive on the back of some good efforts over this course and distance and look sure to figure again, while Lechuga Lad is a handicap newcomer to monitor in the betting.

19:30 Light Up Our Stars

LIGHT UP OUR STARS took a step back in the right direction when runner-up over this course and distance a fortnight ago, doing well to finish as close as he did from an unpromising position. He is one of several from his yard who are now likely well-treated after a poor spell (stable back amongst the winners recently), and he’s worth chancing. Boujee Gold and Kessaar Power are chief among the dangers.

20:00 Al Baahy

AL BAAHY was left with far too much to do back up in trip at this course two weeks ago, having a hopeless task from his position, and he’s better judged on his previous form. Therefore, he is worth another chance returning to seven furlongs. The thriving Bungle Bay is an obvious threat, while Romanovich could bounce back with headgear re-fitted.

20:30 Rubellite

RUBELLITE has had an excellent winter, winning three of her last five starts, and she remains of interest, having got the job done with something to spare at Newcastle two weeks ago. This does look a decent race for the grade, though, and Zooks, Mamdoh and Black Smoke are last-time-out winners to respect also.
