13:20 Jubilee Alpha
I’ll be riding JUBILE ALPHA and she’s my best ride of the week. She’s solid and she’s gained a good bit of experience this year. She’s improved with every run and I schooled her last week. She jumped brilliantly and going left handed is perfect for her. She’s going to the Festival with a great chance as she’s very straightforward which is what you need in a race like this.
14:00 Caldwell Potter
CALDWELL POTTER is in off a mark of 146 which is more than workable. His mark has dropped after having a go round Cheltenham. The one negative is the ground. If it’s really soft ground he’ll have a massive chance and any watering of the ground will help him. He could be our dark horse for the Festival.
14:40 Henri The Second
I’ll take the ride on HENRI THE SECOND. He’s much more effective on soft ground and he’s not well handicapped but he’s a consistent horse and he could just sneak into a place.
15:20 Il Est Francais
I really like IL EST FRANCAIS as he’ll love the ground. He’ll take a lot of beating and I’m not concerned about people saying the Cheltenham track is an issue. He can get the better of Fact To File if he turns up and is fit and well.

16:00 Teahupoo
Monmiral was a late non runner which is a shame. He had been trained for the race all season. If I was to pick the winner now I’d say TEAHUPOO. He’ll probably finish ahead of Home By The Lee and Lucky Place. I’m not sure the latter two have the class to get the better of Teahupoo.
16:40 Ginny’s Destiny
GINNY’S DESTINY had a little gallop the other day and went really nicely. We’ve lacked a little zest with him all season and he felt slightly different the other day. He can run well and he’s won over course and distance which is a big positive. He could be in the danger zone for a few of the others.
17:20 Johnnywho (NAP)
An Amateur rider’s race so I can’t ride in it, but Paul Nicholls’ Gelino Bello is a high-class horse on his day even if I’d prefer it if he was going right handed. He’s not poorly handicapped and he could run okay but my NAP of the meeting is in this race. I really like JOHNNYWHO. He’s well in and if he takes part in this race, he’s going to have the best amateur jockey in Derek O’Connor on him in the country. His hurdle form is very good and he’s got bags of stamina. He’s got plenty of class and he has a huge chance as Jonjo O’Neill will send him here raring to go.
