Gavin Cromwell saddles an interesting runner at Thurles in the ThurlesRaces.ie Maiden Hurdle (15:30) as new recruit Dunkerque – a dual winner on the Flat in Denmark – makes his stable debut. Elsewhere on the card, Willie Mullins gives a first outing to Sunset Boulevard – a half brother to Jungle Boogie – in the Ballagh INH Flat Race (17:35).
The Paul Nicholls-trained Regent’s Stroll bids to bounce back from his flop at Listed level last time out when tackling five rivals in the Class 4 Salisbury Hospice Novices’ Hurdle (15:50) at Wincanton. Meanwhile, the Class 3 Horatio’s Garden Handicap Chase (16:20) tops the bill as Saladins Son bids to repeat last month’s victory over course and distance.
There is also Jumps action at Fontwell before Newcastle’s all-weather fixture in the evening rounds off proceedings.
