The 2025 Cheltenham Festival gets underway next week so we thought it was best to get Mick Fitz from the tellybox to give us his four best picks. Here’s his Cheltenham betting tips!

Mick Fitzgerald’s Cheltenham Lucky 15
Tuesday 11th March, 16:00: Champion Hurdle – Constitution Hill
Thursday 13th March, 13:20: Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – Sixandahalf
Friday 14th March, 13:20: Triumph Hurdle – Lulamba
Friday 14th March, 16:00: Gold Cup – Galopin Des Champs
Champion Hurdle – Constitution Hill
Tuesday 11th March, 16:00
The news that Brighterdaysahead will go for the Champion Hurdle has really sparked life into the opening day feature on Tuesday. The other good thing is that it will mean the price on Constitution Hill should drift to take account of Gordon Elliott’s runner. She was an awesome winner at Leopardstown over Christmas and is now nine wins from 10 starts. However, Constitution Hill is unbeaten in his career, is a Cheltenham specialist and still is the one to beat for me. He’s going to beat her!
Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – Sixandahalf
Thursday 13th March, 13:20
Gavin Cromwell’s mare Sixandahalf was a very good filly on the Flat and was placed at a high level. She has taken to timber and looked a real natural over her obstacles when winning a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse over 2m 4f in January. She looks progressive and can take the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle on the Thursday.
Triumph Hurdle – Lulamba
Friday 14th March, 13:20
The Triumph Hurdle opens Friday’s card and I’m hoping there’s a little bit of rain around for Nicky Henderson’s impressive Ascot winner, Lulamba. She’s only had the one run but looked very special when giving Mondo Man 10lb and a three-and-a-half-length beating in January.
Gold Cup – Galopin Des Champs
Friday 14th March, 16:00
You always need an anchor leg in the Lucky 15 and we could witness another piece of racing history on Friday in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. The dual champion Galopin Des Champs can become just the third horse in the modern era (since Arke and Best Mate) to achieve the three-peat. His form this season has been sublime and he’s a banker for me on the final day of the Festival.
