Just days to go now until the 2025 Cheltenham Festival so about time to get my Lucky 15 for the meeting. Here are four with obvious and big chances – and remember this is a bet when winning is all that matters! Bang in these four whatever the prices when you’re looking at the Cheltenham betting and we are laughing.

Matt Chapman’s Cheltenham Lucky 15
Tuesday 11th March, 16:00: Champion Hurdle – Constitution Hill
Wednesday 12th March, 13:20: Turner’s Novices’ Hurdle – Final Demand
Wednesday 12th March, 14:00: Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase – Ballyburn
Wednesday 12th March, 16:00: Champion Chase – Jonbon
Champion Hurdle – Constitution Hill
Tuesday 11th March, 16:00
Hardly news from Mars this pick, but it’s fantastic news for Constitution Hill fans that at least one decent mare is taking on the 2023 hero with Brighterdaysahead confirmed for Gigginstown. I don’t think it matters what is in the field as I’m as confident as anyone can be that the Nicky Henderson-trained Constitution Hill is in a different league to any rivals that might turn up. I thought he ran a cracker on return in the Christmas Hurdle and was totally dominant in the International Hurdle at Cheltenham when last seen. The way he had the field blown away at half way was breathtaking. He’s a brilliant horse and I’d have him much shorter in the betting than his current odds.
Turner’s Novices’ Hurdle – Final Demand
Wednesday 12th March, 13:20
Final Demand goes here for Willie Mullins and looks an absolute monster. My boy is undefeated in three starts, a point-to-point and two novice hurdles. He blew the field away in Grade 1 company at Leopardstown last time and while he’s a big chaser in the making I just think he will be too good for this lot. It’s odd how things work out as the horse who he beat in the point-to-point is only rated in the 80s and the third is absolutely useless. Final Demand is far from that for Bryan Drew and Prof Caroline Tisdall.
Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase – Ballyburn
Wednesday 12th March, 14:00
Ballyburn looks another good thing for Willie Mullins although he’s not crazy short in the betting. It’s odd how quickly people forget that as a hurdler Ballyburn looked as though he might never be beaten, slamming the field in the Gallagher Novices’ Hurdle. That probably wasn’t the greatest renewal of all time, but he still looked a machine and I suspect he’s been gagging for this step up in distance having been defeated over fences by Sir Gino over two miles earlier in the campaign. He has won eight of his ten starts and can go in again.
Champion Chase – Jonbon
Wednesday 12th March, 16:00
Jonbon gets his chance for Festival glory here for Nicky Henderson. At Cheltenham so far he’s finished second to Constitution Hill in the Supreme and second to El Fabiolo in the Arkle. He missed last year with the Henderson horses out of sorts. That aside he has won 17 of his 20 starts and picked up the Grade 1 Tingle Creek and Clarence House this term. Basically he’s ready to strike in the most important race for two mile chasers and I’m sure this is his moment.
